Baptism

Sacred light bleeds down on your might,
Proud and glorious like the Moon,
You stand tall without a clue.

Your own pact lead to your dichotomy,
For sanctity is purely just,
But one bit of darkness stands in the middle - and it's a must.

Your own blood betrays you deep,
For they are crawling down and to your veins they seep,
They seek your seed of knowledge and pure,
To make it theirs, for corruption is your lure.

Madness will consume you,
For you give in, in a shade of blue,
Your light drowns in deep,
Oh! Poor thing!
How it screams for help, the befouled,
It knows they will harrow, but it's in pride hallowed,
Yet so brittle, confused and ready to lose.

Stubborn little thing,
All you do is linger like a plague,
When you know your "grace" was above their kind,
And now it's our turn to come,
And bleed your crown from this ground.

Give in, you failed your task,
Be the last thing to leave your bearer's husk,
You're weakened, withered and no longer heard,
You're no longer of use to the one you served.

It is over,
Your kind is overwhelmed by a mere sting,
You bend between mercy and righteousness,
Until you break in a crisis of madness,
For our grasp is relentless,
And we will conquer to your last,
For our coven breaks your kingdom of stars.

-All of you are our children,
The children of empty joy,
An universe molded by light and dark.
Until you are granted the balance you shunned,
For you are yet to be found.
