[Skylar POV]
"Sky! Bri's here!" were the first words I heard in the morning.
"Wake up!" She announced herself before jumping on top of me on my bed.
"Get off of me you whale!" I groaned before getting a slap on my arm.
"Rude!" She scoffed before sliding off my bed. "You need to get up!" She grabbed my blanket covers ripping the only warmth I had on my body away from me.
"Why?" I yawned sitting up.
"Because we only have two hours to get you ready for a date with you and Tristan, and if I'm helping you look your best, we're gonna need all the time in the world."
"Rude." I scoffed pretending to be her. "Plus it's not a date. He asked if I just wanted to hang out with him."
"I don't sound like that, you ass." She smirked before rolling her eyes. "Go shower and do whatever you need to do, but hurry up because once we have your outfit perfect and ready for the date, we're gonna need to do your hair."
I rolled my eyes knowing whatever I said about the "date" was just Tristan and I hanging out would go in one ear and out the next.
"Whatever you say bossy pants." I stood up and jokingly bowed in front of her.
"Now that's the type of respect I expect from the man of my dreams." She laughed. "Too bad the dude that might just fight that role is gay." She winked.
"I don't know if I should be surprised or take it as a compliment." I laughed before grabbing my towel and some boxers and headed towards the bathroom.
"Take it or leave it, sweet cheeks." I rolled my eyes at her little comment before closing the bathroom door and hopped in the shower. When I got out, I dried myself before slipping on my boxers and drying off my hair using the towel as much as I could. When I walked in, my room was trashed with all my clean clothes around my closet leading to my bed.
"What the hell Bri." I looked at her confused.
"I found the perfect outfit! It's on the bed, get changed!" She shoved to the bed before running into my bathroom. "I gotta take a shit." She said before closing the door rendering me speechless. I honestly didn't know how to respond to that except an eye roll she couldn't see. I headed to my bed seeing black ripped skinny jeans with a white t-shirt and a maroon and black flannel. When I slipped the clothes on, I can't lie, I fell in love with myself.
Bri had perfect timing when she walked out of the bathroom. She whistled before smiling widely.
"I love it." She smirked crossing her arms.
"Thank you, I had the best clothes designer pick it out for yours truly." I took a bow before we both broke out into laughter.
"You're stupid." She walked over to my closet pulling out my vans tossing them at me. "To complete your perfect outfit. Once you have those finished, meet me in your bathroom." I broke into a smile rolling my eyes. Once I got the shoes on I looked in the mirror. She did a pretty good job, I would've worn something blander. Obeying her orders, I walked into the bathroom watching her go through each drawer.
"I liked your messy bed hair." She smirked pulling out the blow dryer.
"Oh god." I sighed. She gripped onto my warm shoving me on top of the toilet seat. I would've been made if the lid wasn't on top. I legit might've fallen through the hole.
"I love it!" She announced as she finished styling my hair. I looked in the mirror smiling.
"I love it, thanks." I smiled at her.
"You should really start wearing it like that to school." She winked making me roll my eyes.
"No thanks." I walked out of the bathroom, picking up my phone off the bed. "Tristan messaged me 16 minutes ago."
"What's it say?" She walked into my bedroom plopping down on my bed.
"I'll be there in 15 minutes!" I ended up raising my voice.
"Shit!" Bri ran to my window. "He's here!"
"And he's been waiting!" I groaned before shoving my phone in my back pocket and running downstairs. Mom must've worked today, weird. I walked outside and up to his car.
"Sorry for making you wait, I didn't see your text till now." I gave him a small smile. He just stared at me.
"It's cool." He broke into a smile making me feel relieved.
"Bri came over to hang and we lost track of time." I chuckled.
"Sky!" I turned my head to see Adrian running over to us. I looked back at Tristan to find him rolling his eyes. "Where are you going?"
"We'r-"
"Sky and I have a date," He cut me off getting out of his car and walking over to my side, "now if you excuse us we better get going." He said date...
I felt myself being guided into Tristan's car. He slammed his car door as he sat down broke me from my trance of the six words that's been going around in circles in my head.
Sky and I have a date
Those six words, six simple words that should mean nothing, and yet, they mean so much.
Why though?
"Where are we going?" I decided I should try and break the intense atmosphere.
"It's a secret." Tristan broke into a smile making me smile.
"Wow." I playfully scoffed before looking out the window. He's relaxed and happy, I'm glad.
I looked out the window, watching everything pass by as we got on the freeway.
"Open the glove department, you'll find a bunch of different CD's, pick you one." He moved his arm allowing me to look. All different types of my favorite bands were all piled on top of each other.
"I didn't know you listened to Cage The Elephant." I got excited.
"You don't know a lot about me." He flashed me a smile once more before focusing on the road. I took out the disc and put it in the disc player. Ready to Let Go basted through the speakers. We ended up singing the whole way. We stopped at a small diner just outside of our town.
"Tristan!" A woman in her late 50's rushed out to us before wrapping her arms around his neck... or at least tried too...
"Hi, Anna." Tristan chuckled. He bent down to her height so she could fully hug him. She quickly pulled back looking mad.
"Don't just 'Hi Anna' me!" She slapped his arm causing him to pull back. "I haven't seen you for years!"
"It's barely been a month." He raised an eyebrow smirking.
"When you get old, a month is a year." She glared at him. "And who is this?"
Don't bring me into this...
"Hi, I'm Sky." I smiled at her. "I'm a friend of Tristans."
"We're on a date." My headshot in his direction instantly. Why does he keep saying that? He never asked me out on a date, he only asked to hangout. So this isn't a date, right?
