Chapter 8

We landed in the Scotlabd it was really cold like always. Aliyah's brother picked them up from the airport and took them home. Aliyah went in and met her mum first, she was crying and kissed her and told her how much she missed, she then met her dad and everyone else. Her gran was in the other room but someone was sitting there, She ran to her gran and hugged her and asked her if she's ok.

"Yes I'm better now that you have come" said her gran.

"Oh gran, you scared the life out of me, I was so worried about you" said Aliyah.

"Oh my granddaughter I love you so much and do you think I'll die before seeing you get married no chance I'm gonna dance in your wedding".

"Oh gran don't say that May Allah give you a long life so that you can see all your grandchildren and their grandchildren... and their grandchildren get married".

Everyone laughed, Gran noticed Abbas standing at the door and told him to come and sit beside her. she then asked him who he was and he told her that he is Aliyah's boss. He also explained that Aliyah wasn't well and was shocked about hearing that her gran was ill it's his responsibility to help his employee.

"Thank you so much beta for coming with Aliyah" said Aliyah's gran.

"No gran don't say thank you, it was the right thing to do at that time".

"Ok beta go and freshen up, have dinner and have some rest" said gran.

"No gran it's ok, I booked a room in a hotel" said Abbas.

"No you're a guest at our house so please stay here".

"No gran thank you much it means a lot to me but I don't want to be a burden on anyone" said Abbas.

"Oye! Don't say that! You done so much for my granddaughter Aliyah this is the least we could do!".

"But...".

"No buts... you are staying here! That's an order!" said gran.

"Ok anything you say".

Gran smiled at him and then looked at Aliyah who was smiling at him and said, "Aliyah go show him the guest room".

"Ok" said Aliyah.

Abbas and Aliyah walked in complete silence until they came to the guest room, Aliyah told him to freshen up and then to come down and eat. After he freshen up he went down to Aliyah's gran, he told her to come and eat but she said she couldn't come to the dinner table. So he said, "he'll only eat if gran eats".  she agreed so he took gran to the dinning table and helped her. Abbas sat at the table when suddenly he looked to the stairs and saw Aliyah in shalwar kameez for the first time ever.

Abbas's POV : oh my Allah! Mash'Allah In sha Allah OMG!! Aliyah... Haayyyyeeeeeee...

She walked towards him but looked shocked and nervous, she went and sat beside her mum and an unknown man was on the other side, he keeps looked at her which mean Abbas really angry but he didn't know who he was to Aliyah. Everyone was talking while the food came, when suddenly the man finally spoke to Abbas and asked him about his career.

"So you're Abbas Khan" said the unknown man.

"Yes I am and you are?" Said Abbas.

"Fraaz Malik, Aliyah's fiancé".

"Oh..." said Abbas.

"So you're from America?".

"Yes I'm from America but I'm mixed raced my mum is British/Arab and my dad is a Pakistani".

"Oh wow that's nice it must be great being in a mixed race family different languages and things to learn".

"Yeah I guess so, had to learn a lot of languages to be honest Arabic, Urdu, punjabi, Spanish, French and a bit of Latin" said Abbas.

"Wow you're a very talented Man" said Fraaz.

"Thank you, so what do you do?".

"I'm a lawyer".

"Oh that's nice".

The food finally came so everyone digged into the food, after they ate Fraaz and Abbas continued with their conversation.

"Yeah so me and Aliyah were meant to get married next month but she doesn't want to get married yet" said Fraaz.

"Oh... why not?".

"She wants to become a doctor first then get married".

"Yeah that's good that she's passionate about her goal in life and what she wants to achieve".

"Yeah... So are you single or is their someone special in your life?".

"Well I've never been in love before but there is a girl who entered my life and filled it with joy but I found out that she was already engaged so now I'm stuck in between not knowing what to do with my life" said Abbas looking at Aliyah.

"Oh man! That's terrible don't worry mate I'll find someone for you don't you worry!".

"Ahaha thanks mate means a lot".

"Ok so goodnight everyone thank you for everything I'm jet lagged".

"Ok goodnight Allah hafiz".

Aliyah's POV : what the hell is Fraaz doing here?! Omg how am I going to tell gran and mum that I don't want to marry him anymore when I don't have a valid reason for it, when they asked me why I don't want to marry him what do I say, I don't even know why I don't want to marry him... Ugggghh and who did Abbas fall in love with? As far as I know Salman told me it's recently started acting like this and he just found out the girl he likes is engaged coincidence... I don't know!
