Life changes: English version

Chapter 9

Chloe's in bed, thinking about Beca. It's official. She can't go back, but she doesn't want to. Beca's different from the people she's dated. Then something pops into her head, She turns around in bed. She almost falls asleep. Then she hears a tap on her window, and another one, and another one. She gets out of her bed to her window and puts the curtain aside. She sees someone standing in her backyard. A small figure. She takes a good look, rubs her eyes and then sees Beca standing. waving at her. She quickly opens her window

"Beca what are you doing here it's half past 2" Chloe asks softly so that her parents can't hear her.

"I got you something, I forgot to give it to you, get away from the window" Chloe steps aside and wonders why she had to get away from the window and waits a while. Then a black little thing flies through the window. She walks up to it and picks it up. It's a usb stick with a piece of paper on it. She takes out the piece of paper

'Hope you like it'
Mitchell.

She walks back to the window and sees Beca still standing

"thanks Beca, what's on the usb" Chloe asks.

"You'll find out when you look at it, see you tomorrow" Beca waves to Chloe and slowly walks away while she looks at Chloe. Chloe swings until she is out of sight and sits down behind her desk and grabs her laptop to look at the stick. there are all mixes on it. she grabs her mobile and plugs the plug into her mobile and then into her laptop and puts the music on her phone. after she has done that she carefully goes back to bed to text Beca

-hey Becs, I already put your music on my phone gonna listen to it. -Thank you.

-hey Beale, shouldn't you be asleep?

- I am but can say the same thing to you 😜

- True, I'll see you back at school tomorrow?

they text for hours together until 4:00 in the evening or morning what you want to call it.

Chloe's in the car. Her parents are still asleep so she hasn't had any trouble. She picks up her cell phone and turns on her new music and drives down the driveway to Aubrey.

"Hey, Chloe, are you okay?" Chloe nods. Aubrey gets in and they drive on to Stacie. Aubrey looks up from her cell phone and listens to the music

"what is this?" and she looks at Chloe.

"oh, this is new, Mitchell's all mixed up." Aubrey turns to Chloe.

"You're hanging out with that Mitchell a lot." Chloe pulls the car over and waits for Stacie to get in.

"Um, yeah, she's nice, and we're partners for that English project, remember?" Aubrey looks at Chloe with an urgent look. She doesn't believe it. Chloe's hiding something, and Aubrey wants to find out one way or the other. Stacie gets in and they drive to school.

"Cool music Chloe whose is it?" Stacie asks.

"Beca" says Chloe. Stacie's gonna sit up front and watch Chloe say,

"Mitchell made this?" Chloe nods.

"What about you and Mitchell now?" Stacie asks. Aubrey shakes her head and grabs her cell phone again.

"We're just friends, that's all." Stacie urgently looks at Chloe. Stacie doesn't believe a damn thing, either, and she goes back. Chloe sighs, relieved they're not asking about Beca. They're arriving at school. The three of them are getting out.

"Go ahead and I'll see you in class." Chloe says. Stacie and Aubrey look at each other, shrug their shoulders and then walk into the building. Chloe waits a moment and then walks into the building. she waits at the director's office. not much later the door opens

"hey Beale, and?" says Beca. they walk through the corridors to Chloe's safe

"I love it, homemade?" asks Chloe while she opens her Chloe and takes out books.

"Yeah, I want to go to LA to produce music after this school year." Chloe closes her locker and Beca looks at

"next year already?!" Beca's scared, she didn't think Chloe would sound sad and a little shocked

"uh yeah, this is something I've been dreaming about for a long time" she says. Chloe lowered her head.

"so I've only got this year with you, you know how fast that goes by Becs?!" Beca grabs Chloe's hand.

"I know, but it doesn't have to be over after a year, I can come visit, you can come visit me we'll figure it out, this is not a relationship I want to end into a year, Chloe Beale I love you" Chloe raises her head and looks at Beca. Beca has a sad look in her eyes. she doesn't want Beca to get sad. she gives a little squeeze in Beca's hand

"I love you too" a little smile appears on Beca's face. and Chloe melts already inside when she looks at it. she just sees the passion in Beca's eyes and it's hard to say no, she doesn't like to see Beca sad or hurt. they walk together to the classroom Chloe sits down next to Aubrey while Beca sits down in the back. Chloe's phone vibrates. She grabs it gently and then sees a message from Beca...

- can I come by after school, we can work on that English project and stuff doen😜😉.

she looks over at Beca and laughs. Beca also looks at her with a smile on her face

- my parents are at home, so I have to go to zachtjes😚😏.

XX Chloe

Aubrey's looking carefully at Chloe's screen. "What?! "Beca and Chloe?" She thinks. She'll be back to normal soon. There's all over her head asking "Are they together? If so, for how long? Why didn't she say anything? Lesson passes slowly, none of the four girls could compete. Chloe and Beca were thinking about each other, Aubrey was thinking about them, and Stacie was thinking about Beca and a plan to go out with her sometime.

Beca walks down the hallway thinking about Chloe, then she feels a hand on her shoulder. quickly she turns around. she sees Stacie standing.

"hey you weren't there at the previous biology lesson, we have to do an assignment together, Mr. Haverman said we can do it together" says Stacie with a big smile on her face and goes a little closer to Beca. Beca goes slowly backwards

"okay, I just don't have time right now" Stacie looks disappointed, she really wanted to meet Beca

"uhm okay, weekend?" Beca sighs, she doesn't feel like working with Stacie on the biology assignment, she wants to spend the weekend with Chloe her girlfriend, it still sounds weird but she thinks it's great to call Chloe her girlfriend.

"sure with you?" says Beca. There's a big smile on Stacie's face when she hears Beca's answer and jumps inside a hole in the sky.

"All right, Saturday half past two, I'll send you my address." Beca looks at Stacie.

"just give me your address" Stacie looks surprised and shrugs her shoulders and takes a pen and paper out of her bag where she writes her address.

she gives the paper to Beca who doesn't look at it and puts it right in her pocket. "until then" says Beca and she walks away quickly
