Several times you almost fell. Once you actually did lose complete hold of the wall and would have fallen to your absolute doom unless You2 hadn't quickly grabbed your arm and help you back up. Man! You2 had some muscle! All that camp had given you was some tougher skin and almost bone thin arms... However, I guess you had gotten quite a bit of muscle on top. But enough of that unnecessary talk! You were almost to the top of the castle wall!

When You2 and you arrived at the top, You2 turned left into the tower right beside you which went even higher, and you followed her up the spiral stairs to the top. You two were so whined by the end of it that you both collapsed on the closest cushions on the floor. The room you found yourself was round, skinny, and tall. There was only one large tipped arch window that viewed the forest you had just come from. Inside the space was what looked like s lounging area; one that looked like it hadn't been cleaned up in decades. The pillows you two laid on were scattered all around, along with plenty of books, paper, and pencils. Bookshelves lined a portion of the walls and there were two tests facing one another near the edge.

"Wh- what is this room?" You breathed. You2 looked around as well, sighing quietly to herself.

"This was our study. Me and Herobrine would come up here for anything from paperwork, to casual chit-chat." She explained.

"Heh, was it always this dirty?" You asked.

"Hhh, no. Maids were never allowed up here so we always just picked up our own messes.. Looks like Hero had a little tantrum and never bothered to clean it back up." She sighed. Both of you stayed there like that, you laying on some large blur cushion while You2 laid on a group of plain pillows, just relaxing. Eventually, the relaxing shifted to tired, and the tired shifted to sleep. Hopefully one of you would wake up before Herobrine appeared...

"... (Y/n)?..." A quiet whisper echoed in your ear. You slowly opened your eyes to see a tired and confused Herobrine standing before you. He wasn't just looking at you, however. He was looking suspiciously between you and You2. Poop! You had slept longer than hoped. Quickly but quietly, you stood to your feet. You weren't sure if you wanted to wake your other self just yet. You wanted a moment to talk with Herobrine alone. It would be the last conversation with him anyways. "(Y/n)?.. Is that, you too?" Herobrine asked as he pointed at the other you. You nodded while smiling warmly. You watched as the lord of darkness' face changed a little, showing that he was slowly putting things together in his head. "A- are you, the one I thought died?" He asked finally, tears beginning to fill his eyes. Oh no.. You once again had the chance to lie. The chance to move things in your favor and say yes, and keep your love forever. But, you knew how terrible to would be to do that. As much as you wanted to keep hold of this magical world.. of this magical man.. you had to let it all go. Tears filled your eyes asked well, but not in joy. Unable to speak clearly, you shook your head and pointed down at You2, who was still sleeping.

"..No.. She is yours..." You told him with teary eyes. Herobrine looked to the other you and ran to her, passing you, and crouched down to check and see if she was real. Herobrine began to audibly cry when it was confirmed to him that she was indeed, real. He pulled the other you into a tight embrace and held her in his arms tightly; she, still asleep. You watched the two with wet eyes, wondering if you would ever find someone who cared for you as much as he cared for the other you.

Finally, Herobrine looked up at you with soggy eyes. "..Thankyou.." He thanked with a happy sorta crying smile. You nodded in acknowledgement and used the collar of your shirt to dry your eyes. After a little bit, he set You2 back down to continue sleeping and stood, facing you. Your heart no longer knew what to feel as he stood there. It was so strange seeing him suddenly taken after he had cared for specifficly you so much. "I know this must be hard on you.. I am truly sorry, but you have given me the greatest gift I could ever ask for. And for that, I am offering to take you back home.." Herobrine offered. You stood there silent for a moment You still felt so, torn, somehow. Why was this so hard?! "I have only hurt you, haven't I?.." Herobrine spoke gently, looking back at old times and seeing things from your point of view as best as he could. You just shrugged, not knowing what else to do. "Aw, come here." Herobrine said, pulling you into an embrace and holding you there tightly. In that time you forgot why you were even sad momentarily as you hugged Herobrine back. But, you knew you still had to go. You just no longer fit in this world. Staying would only lead to more confusion and trouble. Finally, you were the one who pulled out of the hug and looked Herobrine directly in the eyes, a new look of clarity on your face.

"Okay, I am ready to go now." You told him. Herobrine placed his hands on both of your shoulders and the weirdest feeling of being stretched -- without pain -- came about you, until you arrived in a dark room. You and Herobrine both there in the same position as before. You looked around for a moment, noticing that this was your room. Even though it was dark, mostly because it was night, you could see you were only about a foot away from your bed, and all your things seemed to be in the exact same place aways before too. It was refreshing seeing your room again, unchanged. The two of you stood in the silent darkness awkwardly. No, wait, it wasn't awkward. It was the opposite in fact. What you didn't understand was why you couldn't just get over the fact that that thinges would be going back to normal.

"..(Y/n)?" Herobrine asked, lifting your chin a little. His eyes were the only source of light, and the brightness made you squint painfully. You could tell he noticed this right away because his eyes dimmed down to a much softer glow.

"Yeah?" You asked him, wondering why his finger was still holding up your chin. Right away, Herobrine's hand dropped down and you two just looked at one another for a moment.

"...You shouldn't worry about being alone.." Herobrine finally said.

"..Hu?" You tilted your head. Was it that easy to tell you were feeling pretty down for that reason.

"Honestly, (Y/n).. You never needed me.." You saw a faint smile on his shadow hidden face. "It won't be hard to find the right man for you.. In fact," he gently held your hand, "I bet you will find someone, a million times better than me, and you will live a life I could have never given you.." His words puzzled you for a moment, but then it sunk in.. "Can you promise a little something for me, (Y/n), before I go?" He asked.

"..What?.." You asked back.

"...Can you promise to remember me as a legend, and only that?" Your eyes widened a little. How could you change your own memories?

"....I- I'll try.." You said. His faint smile returned, and, Herobrine vanished, right before your eyes. The next minute or so was filled with silence. A small part of you expected him to pop back up and take you back to the castle and the adventure. But.. the adventure was over. The magical world slowly fading to nothing but memories. The only proof you had even been there being your own larger than before muscles and borrowed clothing. Maybe you would someday remember Herobrine as nothing but the legend he asked you to remember him as. Maybe that was just the way it was meant to be.. But either way, deep inside, you finally felt free.
