"Thank you, mister Potter." the professor said, as I sorted the weapons the way Annabeth once showed me. Arrows, daggers, axes, spears, shields, swords, and some scary metal balls with spikes all over them. I nearly forgot the magical ones. The coins, hair pins, and et cetera. There wasn't a pen though, which probably made Riptide special (Percy, I hope you don't get a big head from this).
"Is that all?" the professor asked. "I thought there was another type. Guns, the things made after muggle weapons."
I shuddered, thinking of how some muggles fired their automatic weapons at so many people and killed a lot. It reminded me of Voldemort.
"Are you talking about the automatic, or the semi-automatic?"
"What is an automatic?" the professor asked.
"Its a weapon for mass-murder." I answered.
"Then get the semi-automatic type. I don't want any massacre weapon on my hands, no matter how useful it can be." the professor said, and I could breathe a sigh of relief.
"Accio semi-automatics! Just the semi-automatics!" I added, and so many arms just flew into the door. I pushed those into the corner.
"The class will start soon, so I suggest we hurry." Professor Christen said.
I sorted the knives and swords, while the professor handled the rest.
"Uh, this is a weird question, but how long does a sword have to be to be called a sword?" I asked.
"One foot."
"And what makes you decide that?"
"I don't know. Just go with it." the professor said, which made me like him more than before.
I sorted the knives into one corner, basically comparing the length with my forearm. I came across gold, silver, bronze, ivory, and something black that definitely didn't look like I could find it in a mine. And then there were things that were mixed. One knife had gold, silver, and bronze on one end, and ivory on the other end. It was wicked. Two ended knives, I never saw them. I quickly tossed it to the knife side, trying to ignore the strange vibe I got from it.
"Class is starting in a couple minutes, so I suggest we do this more quickly. Why does bronze and gold glint so similarly?" The professor muttered to himself. "How lovely of arrow tips being required to sort as well."
Tintin ran in first. He set his textbook on the table and had pens out. It reminded me of Hermione back in the day.
"You won't be needing textbooks!" I said.
"No note taking?" he asked. He didn't sound happy nor disappointed.
"Nope." I answered. "We practice manual fighting today." (A/N: cliche, I know)
"With or without weapons? Tintin asked.
"With." I answered. "Although what's the point of weapons once you are disarmed?" I looked at the professor, who shrugged.
"What weapons are we allowed to use?" Tintin asked, probably trying to make the situation less awkward.
"I have my own." Baylee said, walking into the classroom. For some reason, she seemed to favor the Egyptian khopesh, although she wasn't Egyptian at all.
"Me too." Zeke said. He pulled out two silver swords, one double edged and the other, single edged. "And professor, Darian is... um... not well. So he's in Madam Pomphrey's place."
"I'll take this." Sadie jumped into the room and took a double-edged knife. So Sadie was going to take that thing. Unnerving. Definitely unnerving.
