There's been a lot of opinions concerning the song MIDDLE CHILD. The Insider said that it mainly talks about Cole being a bridge between old rap music and new rap music. This view is supported where Cole says, "I'm dead in the middle of two generations". Hip hop has changed as time went on. During the 90s, artists like 2pac were known to be one of the greatest rappers of all time for example, "Do for love". Those were the good old days, hip hop was real and motivational hence J.Cole is paving the way for other rappers to be real with their music.
