~Discovered~
"Mako! You home? Mako!" a voice yelled through the house. I blinked a couple of times as I woke up suddenly from the yelling.
"Who wants to know?!" I yell out.
"Mako! Where the hell are you? I can't find you!" The voice yells back. I rub my eyes and realize I was still in the hidden room.
"The bathroom. Hold on. I'll come out to the lounge in a sec!" I yell back before I started to put all the charcoal and pencils away in their box and shoved it in my pocket, along with my two sketch books.
I quickly made my way out of my room and into the lounge room without being caught and while making sure my door was sealed and covered too.
"What did you want Shiro?" I ask as I walk into the lounge room rubbing my eyes.
"Umm, there is someone here to see us," Shiro says calmly. I raise an eyebrow at him before I saw who was at the door.
"Hello there sir. How may I help you?" I ask the gentleman at the door.
"I'm Sargent Tanner. I'm here because there have been reports of the notorious Twin Shadow in these parts and I need to do a door to door inspection. May I continue?" Sargent Tanner, aka Shiny, asked. I look at him and frown.
"That certainly isn't good that they have been sighted. I hope no-one got hurt. Any leads Sargent?" I ask him, acting all concerned.
"We only know they to be around your age son and they are escape artists as they always escape capture and arrest," Sargent Tanner informs us as his men search the room.
'You mean super awesome people. Hahaha," I hear Shiro say and I looked over my shoulder and glared at him. Shiro raises an eyebrow at me.
"Sheesh. What's his problem?" I hear him say again.
Once again I looked over at him and glared. He just opened and closed his mouth, unsure what to say.
"Can you hear what I am saying Mako? Nod your head if you can," Shiro says. I sigh and nod my head.
"Well, damn." He says. I look over at him then back to the guard at the door.
"He really doesn't know when to be quiet sometime," I think to myself.
"Hey!" Shiro says. I wait until I see Sargent Tanner and his men nod at us and leave our room. We follow them, sticking our heads out the door until we see them enter the elevator.
"What the heck is going on? How on earth are you able to hear what I'm thinking?!" I exclaim., turning to look at him.
"I don't know, but it is weird and I don't like it. " Shiro says in return. We both look anywhere except each other until the same thought comes to mind.
"Well, at least it will be more fun and easier to do now," we say at the same time.
"Way to make us sound more like twins. We will even be able to know what the other is saying and finish each other's sentences and stuff. Ha. This is amazing," Shiro says.
"But it is also creepy. I wanna try something with it. Try and say something to me. I want to know if I can block it out or now." I tell my brother. He nods and thinks of something.
"You know you are a ......" I shake my head at him, letting him know I can't hear him.
"Thank goodness for that. I would have died if you could read all my thoughts and I yours," I tell him. Shiro nods in agreement.
"Well, if you focus enough , you can put up a block when you don't wanna be able to talk," I tell him as I make my way over to the fridge and pull out a bottle of water. I quickly skull half the bottle, before looking over to Shiro again.
"So, when do you wanna start?" I ask him through the mind link as I had decided to call it.
"Now. Let's get going while they finish up their searches. This should be fun. I even have a bag of bombs for distractions again. "Shiro says with a smile as we grabbed our bags, weapons and made our way over to the door. We walked out of the room, locking it up after us, before heading to the basement through the elevator at the end of the hall.
'So where will we start?' Shiro asks.
"Centre of the Town Hall. One of the tunnels underneath the city led to the bathrooms just off the main entry of the town hall, so we should be able to get there undetected," I tell him then sigh.
"I don't think we are going to get use to this very quickly," Shiro tells me. I shake my head and say out loud, "You go that right."
