Chapter 8 : We Built This City

  'Crap, things are going to get ugly.'

  Suddenly Sean passes through them looking very angry and Ramon trying to catch up with him.
  The group follows them and everyone goes inside an empty class.
  Noah says...

   'What the hell is wrong guys?'

  'Coach happened.
He told me that I have become too much of a pussy since my return.'

  George looks at him and hugs him.
Alexis says...

   'Why did you guys even fought with the coach?'

  'He wants us to go ask back our half budget that was taken to bring more counselors.'

  'Seems pretty logical to me, we need more therapy.
  The past year was hard for everyone.'

  'I know Alexis but you know our coach, it's either everything for the Tigers or nothing.'

  'And tell me Ramon, where do you stand?'

  'It's an impossible thing to answer.'

  'You're my boyfriend and I love you, but get real or go home, you can't take the stand with the Tigers.
  The mother of your own daughter tried to kill herself.
  You are not allowed to be confused.'
 
'I'm sorry you're right baby.'

  'Of course I am.'

Mendoza residence.
Afternoon.

   Alexis asks Ramon to come by her place since her parents are not around.
   Ramon says...

  'Finally, you and me baby.
Why don't we cook something?'

  'Alright, we could do that.'

  Suddenly Alexis father, comes out and Alexis frozes.
  He comes near them and slaps Alexis.
  Ramon grabs her and pulls her near him.
  Her father says...

  'Give me back my daughter.'

  'Are you drunk man?'

'Ramon it's okay, just go and I will call you okay?'

'What? Are you crazy? I'm not leaving you with that crazy pants father of yours.'

  'Ramon please go. I don't want this to get out of hand.'

'Alexis, it got out of hand the moment he slapped you.'
 
  Alexis father gets mad and grabs her, Ramon loses control and hits him.
  Then her father falls down and Ramon grabs Alexis and they leave home together.

  Mendoza residence.
Sometime later.

  Alexis places some ice at Ramon' s hand.
  Then she says to him...

'What you did today. It was amazing even though I have to go back eventually and clean the mess.'

  'No, you're not going back.
You're staying with me.'

  'Look, I love that you love me so much, but some battles aren't yours Ramon.
  My mother needs me too. I can't abandon them.'

'So you prefer abandoning yourself.'

'We will talk about it again later.'

  Ramon and Alexis kiss and they hug.

  Wilson's home.

  George returns home with Sean to check up on Diana before they go for burgers.
  They go upstairs and they find Diana sleeping so they feel relieved.
  Then Sean notices something.
He says...

  'George, what is that?'

'Oh My God!
Is that an empty bottle of sleeping pills?'

  'DIANA, DIANA WAKE UP!'

  'DAD CALL AN AMBULANCE. AGAIN!'

  Hospital.

Everyone is there once again and George is waiting outside for Ramon to arrive.
  He comes with Alexis.
George walks towards him and says..

  'Ramon, can we have a minute please?'

  'Yes, of course pal.'

  'Look, I know that she is my sister and I love her to death. But I love my niece too and I can't let her keep living with her mother. Not until Diana deals with her demons.'

  'What are you saying?'

  'I'm pretty sure that I'm telling you, what you have already been thinking Ramon.
  Take full custody. And do it soon.
She is uncontrollable.
  I'm barely staying over my house anymore.
  Thank God I have Sean.'

  'About Sean, look G. he won't tell it to you but, there have been many whispers about him and most of the team doesn't want to talk to him.
  Talk to him if you can. He is really sad lately.'

  George and Ramon realize that they have to stay sane for the sake of their people.
  Oh boy it's gonna be a hell of a ride...
