A tall man, whose name I didn't care to remember, welcomed us onto the dance floor. The instrumental version of 'Until I Found You' Began to play and all I could think about is how I'm so grateful that the song doesn't have words. It's such a beautiful song that definitely doesn't apply to us.

Eric awkwardly wrapped an arm around my waist and reached out for my hand. I hesitantly put a hand of his shoulder and reached out for his hand. Eric gently held my hand as he led the dance. We moved gracefully together and I couldn't help but look up at him he's brows knitted together and his emerald eyes completely focused as we moved in a square motion. I couldn't help but wonder what he thought of me and just like that he yanked me out my thoughts by spinning me around. Other people began to join the dance floor and just like that it ended.

Right after the dance we said our goodbyes and left the venue. Eric was ahead of me so I had to rush behind him. In the rush to get to him I almost thought I caught a glimpse of my father from the side of my eye...but how? It can't be he's not here. I reminded myself before I sped up and reach Eric.

Eric and I had left to 'our new house'. It was a half an hour drive filled with incredibly awkward silence.

Eric is definitely a man of mystery but in all fairness he doesn't seem like a bad guy. I think he's just a guy with a short temper, so I'm sure he's not too bad...I hope.

Shit! Now it's jinxed, great.

We finally arrived at a beautiful black modern mansion.

Rich people and their mansions.

Once we arrived Eric left, walking up stairs

Once we arrived Eric left, walking up stairs. I continued to remain there still and very lost.

I wondered through the black passages aimlessly until I accidentally bumped into a short lady, who looked like she was in her late fifties.

"Oh my dear! I am so sorry, are you okay?" She asked concerned.

"I'm fine...um , it was actually my fault, my name is Violet."I said as I laughed awkwardly.

"I know Darling." She said with a hearty laugh, "I am Rose, the chef and I used to be Mr Renorez's nanny." She said with a wink, her smile reached her eyes as she took my hand and led me up two flights of stairs, telling me all about Eric's childhood.

"This is your room freshen up and come down stairs, I made a snack for the both of you."

"Okay, thank you Rose." I said gratefully. She gave me a hug and left. I looked around the large room that had black wooden stairs on the side of my black and white bed, leading up to a shower and bathroom glass walls.

I sighed and began to settle in

I sighed and began to settle in. I took my dress off and changed into red and black plaid pajama pants and a black tight t-shirt.

Maybe I should call him?

I walked around searching for Eric before spotting him through the glass walls of his office. I was amazed by the stunning exterior of his study. I approached the door yet he still did not look up. I slowly opened the door and entered. His head lifted up slightly and his emerald eyes met mine.

"Eric...uh...Rose made us a late night snack and it's ready." I said playing slightly with the hemp of my shirt as I rambled slightly.

Why is this so awkward?

"I am not hungry." He said sternly.

"...But you barely ate at the reception also it's like one in the morning aren't yoy tired? You should get some sleep." I said kind of concerned. I also was still nervous which meant I was rambling and I could also pick up on the fact that he really doesn't like rambling.

I need to shut up!

"Violet sit down!"

"What!?"

"Violet. Sit. Down." His anger was quiet evident. I sat down on a chair infront of his desk. His eyes stared daggers at me.

What the hell did I even do?

"Now let's get something straight. You don't ever interfere or disrupt me when I am working! Stay out of my personal life and I will stay out of yours. We played the loving couple perfectly at the wedding so everyone outside these walls believe we are married and we will keep that pretense up in public but inside, we are nothing but strangers. I only married you to ensure that I get a very important contact, from very important investors for my company that I worked so hard to build. This is nothing but an act. I hope you understand that."

Well that went from zero to a hundred pretty quickly...

My heart was beating fast and my temper was at it's max. I stood up and stared him down. How dare he! I was fuming with anger. It boiled through my veins. I couldn't believe I married such a pompous asshole. "Well it's good to know! But this maybe an act to you and you may have no problem with it, but this is my life you are playing with as well and just so you know, I am not happy with this either! So please stop with the self- pity! You self-absorbed, egotistic ass wipe."

He raised an eyebrow at me and smirked. What the hell. Have you ever wondered, what goes through someone's head? Yeah, me too. I swear hes insane.

He slowly walked towards me and I kept walking backwards, until my back hit against the glass wall. He leaned forward, his lips grazed my ear as he whispered," I suggest you stay in line because you don't want to find out what I'm capable of."

"Is that suppose to scare me?" I asked simply unimpressed. He stepped back and looked into my eyes and smirked.

"Oh darling, you haven't seen anything yet." With that he left releasing me from his arms that trapped me.

" what the f..."
