Chapter 3: "The new guy"

Avreel's POV

I walked towards the cafeteria coz I'm planning to grab a cup of my favorite Skinny Vanilla Latte when Valeen, one of my closest friends, called me. Dali-dali akong lumapit sa kanya. How I miss this gal. She's hanging with the rest of my gang, Tasha, and Sophia. 

"GOSH Avreel!! I've heard pinahiya mo raw si Ashley." Valeen told me. WHO THE HECK IS THAT?? I don't know Ashley, pero ba't familiar. Weird!!

"Who??" I asked.

"Duh Valeen, don't tell her the name. Just tell her the incident and she will know who the hell is Ashley. You know Avreel, she suck at names." Tasha said. Then the three of them laughed with class while me, pouted my lips.

"Ooh! Don't give me that look, AVreel. Totoo naman ahh. Ilang months ba before mo na memorize ang mga names namin??" Tasha asked.

"Eh hindi naman yung name yung nakakalimutan ko eh.. The face girl, the face." I defended.

"Yeah right Avreel. Mabalik nga tayo sa topic, napahiya sa'yo si Ashley. The one who messed-up with you earlier? Shocks! Ano bang nangyari?" Valeen asked.

"Hmm, wala naman masyado." then I started to tell them what happened kanina. Mula sa sinabi n'yang nagpa-nose job raw ako hanggang sa fake yung boobs n'ya. I didn't missed any parts. They were like 'Really? Oh tapos?' excited na excited lang masyado. kasi naman, naka-away na pala ni Sophia yung Ashley na yun. Reyna raw yun ng "The Gossiper", the group next to us, pero duh? wala naman yung panama sa Elites eh.

"Ha! Serves her, right? She is full of herself kasi eh. She thought that she can deliberately stomp us pero di naman. The nerve of that Bitch!!" Sophia exclaimed.

"Chill lang Phia, na-settle ko na yun no. Hmp, how about let's grab some Latte? I've heard may starbucks na sa cafe. I've been sending requests to our admin for like almost a year para malagyan na ng Starbucks rito. Buti na lang na-approve na this year." sabi ko.

"Yeah right girl, mabuti pa nga." Valeen agreed. Then pumunto na kami sa newly opened Starbucks in our cafe.

Nasa Starbucks sina Avreel and her friends. While waiting for their order, they do chit-chats about their summer vacation. They still have 1 hour before their class, and the 4 of them are under a block section. So di sila magkakahiwahiwalay. The four of them are great friends since 1st day of their 1st year college. Meron kasing incident that made them tell na "I like her to be my friend". Kung anong klasing insidente, well, it's already considered a history. Ang importante lang ay they are friends, not only a friend, but best friends.

"Really?? Alam mo bang I've been begging my dad to send me to Egypt last summer, pero di n'ya ako pinayagan kesyo mangingitim raw ako, kesyo marami rawng deadly scorpions there. So I end up spending my summer vacation in Korea." sabi ni Tasha nang we've been talking about where and how we spend our summer vacation, so I shared na sa Egypt ako nag-spend ng summer vacation. it's my dream to be a Queen Cleopatra kasi eh. Nagpabili nga ako ng pusa na kagaya ng kay Cleopatra, kaso mom is alergy with cats.

"Well, better luck next time Tash." I teasingly said. How I miss this kind of chit-chat.

"But girls, have you heard the news? Meron raw isang new guy in our batch. I've heard he's hot." Phia said. Pag talaga hot guys andali makasagap ng balita. Tsk! 

"A hot guy? Do you know who he is?" Valeen asked.

"Ahh, yeah! He's there oh." Phia pointing the entrance of our school cafeteria.

Napalingon kaming tatlo sa tinuro ni Phia, alam mo naman curios kung gaanu ka cute yung sinasabing guy ni Phia. Phia has this high standards on hot guys. I don't know why pero pag sinabi n'yang HOT, well, that is DEFINITELY one of a hell HOTTIE!! That's what makes Phia our White Rabbit. She deffinietly has the eye for it.

The three of us GASP in unison. Indeed!! The man Phia is reffering to is indeed a HOTTIE.

"See girls? I told you, he's supah HOT!" Phia added

"What is his name?" Valeen excitedly asked.

"How about her number? Do you have it?" follow-up naman na tanong ni Tasha. I am so missing this bond talaga. We always talk about crushes and hottie. Napa-chuckle na lang ako.

The three of them looked at me as if masamang tumawa.

"What?!" I asked when I noticed na silang tatlo ay nakatingin lang sakin.

"Wala kang comment?? Are you interested?" Tasha asked.

"Duh?! Of course I am. May pinalampas ba akong isang hottie na hindi ko naging ka-fling? DUH?!" I explained

"Ba't ang tahimik mo?" Tasha added. Napa-Oo nga yung dalawa.

"Hmm, I just missed you guys."

"Really?" si Valeen na ang umeksena while lifting her right eyebrow."Is that really your reason?"

"Why? Should I have any reason than that?" I asked her back.

"Hmm, wala naman. Akala ko kasi natatkot ka na baka di umubra ang charms mo sa kanya eh. Well, looking at him, he is definitely far from other flings you have." Valeen said.

"That's pathetic. And besides, I'm eyeing for Tristan. he is such a trophy." I said.

"Sabi mo eh."

Natahimik lang kami nang tinawag na ang pangalan namin for our orders. Then after getting our orders, we're back in business.

"Girls! Girls!" Tasha said to get our attention. "Are you thinking what I am thinking?" she added.

The three of us looked at each other. Well, I guess we're on the same page. Nagngitian lang kaming tatlo. Hmmn, when was the last time we did this kind of initiation? I guess 8 months ago? I lost count. This is exciting!

So this is the revised chapter three. For the next part, I will post about different organizations sa Scholastic Granger University. Para na ring isang Fraternity or Sorority.

Then, they are doing the Newbie Initiation for the new guy to be one of their group, the Elites. How  they are going to do that? Well, read the next chapter.
