"Louis, Lou. Boo." Jay said, shaking Louis' shoulder lightly.

"Hmm." Louis mumbled back.

"It's 7 babe, school."

"Do I have to go in?"

"Yes you do mister, it's only the first day back." She laughed, brushing his hair back as he lifted his head from the pillow.

"Do you want me to take the girls?" He asked, putting on his glasses.

"If you wouldn't mind love, I didn't want to ask because I didn't know if you were meeting the boys."

"No, we're meeting at school. They'll probably oversleep anyway."

"You just need to take Lottie, Fizz has a dentist appointment so once I've dropped the twins off at nursery I'm taking her there then dropping her at school."

"Alright, that's fine." He said dismissively, getting out of bed and walking over to his wardrobe where his school shirts were hung.

"Oh and Louis love, remember how I said I was going back to nights at the hospital, I start tonight. I've booked a baby sitter for the girls who will be here from about 4 until 11."

"Right, okay."

"I'll take that as my cue to leave." She laughed.

"Love you!" He called as she left the room.

In the 8 years that Louis had had siblings he'd learnt to get ready in record time, getting dressed, going to the toilet, freshening himself up and packing his bag in under ten minutes then rushing downstairs to see what was left of the cereal. As usual the girls had finished it all so he grabbed a capri sun from the fridge and an apple from the fruit bowl and sat on the counter next to the sink.

"Mum! How come Louis is allowed to sit on the counter and I'm not!" Fizzy whined, dropping her spoon onto the table.

"Because I'm the oldest." Louis replied childishly, sticking his tongue out.

"Louis, get down and sit at the table please." Jay said, fighting a smile as she tried to wipe the mess off of Daisys face.

Louis huffed and stuck his tongue out at Fizzy again, sitting down next to Phoebe who was happily banging her spoon against her bowl. Lottie came into the kitchen and looked at Louis with pleading eyes, pointing to her hair that was in some sort of braid. If having sisters had taught Louis' anything it was how to plait hair and by the time him and Lottie were ready to leave he'd put her hair in two french plaits.

"Louis! Don't forget about the babysitter! Please don't be late home!" Jay called as Louis stood by the front door, pulling on his Vans that he wasn't technically allowed to wear at school and helping Lottie tie her laces.

"Yes mum! Love you!" Was his response, shutting the door behind him and his sister.

Lottie and Fizzys primary school was only a couple of minutes walk away from the secondary school that Louis attended, the only one in his town.

"Lou! Everyone says he fancies me but why would he throw things at me if he does!?" Lottie asked, confused about her situation with a boy in her class.

"Boys are confusing Lots, don't get involved." He laughed, flicking her plait.

"Then why do you like boys Louis?"

"Because I'm a little bit crazy."

"I know." She giggled, walking through the gates with him.

"I'm gonna leave you here babe, you're going to Sophie's after school so I'll pick you up about six okay?"
