29 | the sbs interview

Start from the beginning

The van finally comes to a halt and Jungkook swore he could feel his heart pounding against his ribcage. He just wanted to crawl into a hole at this point. The manager opens the door and gestures the younger to take a step outside.

"You can either wait for Jisoo-ssi or go ahead in there and pick her up." The male says before closing the door again. Jungkook was now outside, hands buried deep in the pockets of his dark skinny jeans as he taps his foot out of nervousness.

The weather was absolutely chilly today, so Jungkook decided to go all black—as usual—with his plain black shirt, black trench coat, and to top it off with some black boots. He doesn't really like to wear those flashy outfits that the stylists laid out for him; he appreciated the help, but he wasn't really feeling like doing a lot for just a mere interview.

Jungkook glances at his wrist watch, before looking at the entrance of YG Entertainment. 'Is she running late?'

Coincidentally, the said female dashes out of the building. As Jisoo makes her way towards Jungkook, the latter couldn't help but stare. She was wearing a long-sleeved pink floral dress that was an inch above her knees. She was wearing matching wedges; it had a cute pink rose attached near the foot area. To top off the look, her curly locks were tucked behind her ear with a pink rose hair clip keeping it from covering her face.

Jungkook swore this woman was going to be the death of him.

"Jungkook! Hi!" Jisoo greets, voice slightly breathless from the little dash she did to get to him. The said male just stands there frozen, unable to process any words to say to her. Should he compliment her for the cute get-up she had? Or should he address the elephant in the room so he could lift the burden off of his shoulders.

"About the call yesterday..." Jungkook's voice trails off as his cheeks burn red in embarrassment. He then looks down shyly as he glances at Jisoo, who seemed to be listening attentively.

"Oh... We're you upset?" Jisoo asks, slightly frowning.

"What?" Jungkook muttered, eyes furrowed in confusion as the female continues to talk.

"Lisa was bothering me about something while we were calling yesterday, and I remembered that you had to tell me something..." Jisoo pouts, "I'm really sorry if I didn't hear you over the phone yesterday, but you can tell me now! If that isn't much of a problem."

Jungkook looked at Jisoo dumbfounded. So the girl didn't hear his confession last night? Gosh, he was fussing about it so much that he barely slept last night. Perhaps its a sign that he shouldn't rush things. He then shakes his head, earning a whine from the older.

"It's nothing, shall we head to the studio now?" Jungkook gestures over to the van, hand stretched to Jisoo.

The female sighs. "Alright. But don't expect me to be quiet about our phone call last night. I'm still curious!"

'It's fine with me if things stayed like this for awhile...' Jungkook thought to himself, eyes on Jisoo as they headed to the van.

The pair arrived at the SBS studio right on schedule. A mob of fans (as expected) were already at the entrance, screaming their lungs out as the two idols exit the van. The reaction of the crowd was mixed with happiness and anger. Luckily for Jisoo, the ones who expressed gratitude and happiness, were lined at the front. She flashes a smile to the crowd, earning squeals here and there before being ushered inside the building.

Once inside, they were directed to their assigned floor, where they'll have their interview. The studio was packed with a bunch of the SBS staff, rushing to different corners of the room to do their jobs. In the midst of the chaos, Jungkook couldn't help but notice the pale look on Jisoo's face as she looked at the cameras that were being placed. She kept fidgeting with her sleeves and occasionally touching her hair.
