Trust
Trust is hard to earn
And even harder to keep
Because all people ever seem to die
Is lie, steal and cheat
Now I struggle to trust others
I am always looking behind my back
Waiting for a betrayal
Waiting to have to defend or attack
I would love to be able to trust someone
So I don't have to always be so alert
But the sad thing is
If I trust someone, I will only get hurt
