"I don't care what happens to me. I don't care who has to die or what I have to sacrifice. I will kill you," I spat at my dad.
Ember's journey has not been an easy one, and it won't end until her or her father is dead.
"No that was just the icing. Y'all really just risked it all over Luca. Luca! I'm with Reno. Luca is with everybody. Why do it matter? Sometimes y'all just don't think! The entire head of this family could've been in jail. Over what?"
He just stared at me.
"Exactly! I know Boss told y'all what Reno said so add that to the mix, plus that 'my house' bullshit. Fucking keep it. I got a house; I ain't hard up for a place to stay. So I got my shit, I got my dogs, y'all be breezy."
I loaded my dogs up and drove to my own house. It wasn't a compound like Boss's house but it wasn't small either. I'd intended to keep it pretty simple but Freddy had insisted I have guards who lived here. And a panic room. And a torture room. And so twelve bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 1 panic room, 5 holding cells, 4 torture rooms, 3 living rooms, and 5 miscellaneous rooms later, my house was built.
"Princess," my guards greeted.
"Hey guys. Everything clear?"
They nodded.
"How long until shift change?"
"One hour, Princess."
"Alright. Make sure y'all eat."
I let my babies roam while I dropped my bags off in my room. The smell of food wafted into the room so I followed it into the kitchen.
My four captains were sitting at the table while some maids cooked. I sat down with them not saying anything.
"Oh shit. You scared the hell out of me,"Adina said grabbing her chest. All my captains reported directly to me and were technically equal to each other. But I trusted her the most.
"I told y'all never be too comfortable, not even at home."
Ryan, Drew, and Kris had stood up when they noticed my presence.
"Have a seat guys. Talk to me. What's going on around here?"
We shot the breeze for awhile until the food was ready. I filled them in on the Reno situation while we ate.
"So then we're keeping our ear to the street on this one?" Drew posed his question as a statement.
"Yeah til I can get what I need from Japan. Y'all already know I need y'all tip top for this case. I need all your resources on this one. Foreign snitches are gonna be key for this."
They nodded their agreement.
"Also....what y'all got planned for tonight?
