The Void

I stood in the centre of the crowd. The cheers for what ever this person was saying were loud and it took all I had not to cringe at the sound. Sound, when I first came to earth it was so loud. It had taken me months to adjust to the sounds of the forests.

The sounds of the town and cities were still something I needed to get used to.

The crowd cheered again and I couldn't stand it much longer. I turned from my spot and walked away, the sound of cars and chatter was welcoming to the sounds of the shouting. I needed to get away, quickly.

I made my way back to the exit of the city and in to the woodlands that surrounded it. Once the bird calls were all I could hear I breathed deeply and say down in my place.

"I can't do this, goddess why did you choose me to do this? I can't even bare the voice levels of this planet. They are unruly and loud and there is just no semblance of peace here at all. What do you want me to do?" The years were quick to fall and I wrapped my arms around myself.

The void. The space between the universe's was as silent as they came. The absence of sound was how we lived, it wasn't dark but it was silent, I missed that silence now. Being sent here was an honour but it isn't a pleasant one that I would wish on anyone, the absence of sound was what our void relished it, simply because sound could no penetrate it.

How was I too live here if the mare sound of anything louder then a bird call made me was to scream?
