Max's Mickey Mouse like phone rings, and he gets started by it. He fumbles the receiver while answering it, drops it on the floor, then picks it up, "Hello? *cough* Hello?" "Max? Where the heck are you, man?" Came the voice from the other end of the phone.

"P.J.?" Max recognizes his friends voice, "You should have been here an hour ago!" P.J. Said. "What? What are you...Hold on," Max hits his alarm clock which was showing 4:02. The numbers spin then show the real time, 7:50. "Oh, no!" Max then leaps out of bed and runs over to put on his jeans, while still on the phone.

"Look, maybe we should just call the whole thing off!" P.J. Suggested. Being the last day of school, Max couldn't back out now, "No way, man! It's now or never!" Max gets tangled in the phone cord and falls. "Well, you better get a move on! I'll meet you at my locker!" P.J. Hangs up the phone, as Max gets untangled from the phone cord.

Max hangs up the phone, and his pants immediately drop to the floor. Max's father, Goofy, open the door to Max's room very cheerfully. Goofy is dressed only in towels and has a vacuum cleaner with him. "Morning', son!" Goofy says putting the vacuum down.

"Dad!" He yanks up his pants out of embarrassment. "Oops! I forgot!" Goofy shuts the door, knocks, then opens it again, "Morning', son! I came to see if you had any...dirty...clothes..." Goofy slows down, as he notices that the entire floor is covered with dirty clothes.

"Well, there they are! Help yourself!" Max quickly says while trying to put on his red sweatshirt. "Max, I thought we talked about this," Goofy says slightly unimpressed. "Yeah, look, I'm sorry, Dad. I'll take care of it later!" Max struggles with his sweatshirt only half on, he bumps into Goofy.

Goofy helps him get the shirt on the rest of the way. "What's the big rush?" Goofy asked while turning on the vacuum, cleaning Max's messy room. "I'm running late." Max runs to get his backpack, "Well, I could drive you on my way to work." Goofy offers, as he continues to clean up his laundry.

"Uh, no thanks. I..uh..I need the exercise." Max rushes out his room. "Aw, come on, Max!" Goofy said sadly as he holds the vacuum nozzle upwards. It got too close to Max's cardboard cutout of Powerline, and the head of it gets sucked in. Max, who was almost out the door, shrieks.

He runs back, and grabs the legs of the cutout, while Goofy holds the vacuum. Finally, Max turns off the vacuum and extracts the cutout, which has been curled in a couple of places. "Aw, Dad! You ruined it!" He glares at his dad. "Sorry about that. Who was he, anyway?" Goofy asked "It's only Powerline, Dad. The biggest rock star on the planet." Max said

"Oh, not bigger than Xavier Cougat, The Mambo King!" Max rolled his eyes as goofy grabbed Max, "Everybody mambo! Mambo, mambo, mam-bo!" Goofy begins mambo-ing with Max. "Aw, come one, there's no time for this! What if the neighbors see us, huh?" Max said quickly extracting himself from Goofy, and dashes out the door. Max jumped off his porch while holding his bag in his right.

"Maxie! Wait up!" Goofy yells running over to his son, "You forgot your lunch! Have a good day!" He handed Max a brown lunch bag, and then gave him a kiss on the cheek. A few skateboarders passing by saw it and started laughing. Max grins embarrassed and waves, then scowls while swinging his bag over his shoulder.

"They've been laughin' since I can remember,
But they're not gonna laugh anymore,"

Max pushes his gate, but it wouldn't budge. He walked a fair distance, and jumped over his fence.

"No more "Maxie the Geek"
No more "Goof of the Week" like before."

Max wasn't paying attention to the kids that were playing with marbles on the sidewalk. He accidentally walked over the marbles, causing him to slip.
