I would be lying through and through
If I said that I've never fancied you
What if these thoughts are unrequited
If my daydreams left me short-sighted
What if the spark didn't ignite your heart
And my feelings tear our friendship apart
But life's imperfections no longer rule me
Because of your smile I see only the beauty
I don't care about the consequences
And the list of unavoidable offences
It might be selfish, I know,
But I simply cannot let you go
And how you caught me by surprise
When you said You have pretty eyes
-Falling in love with my ex's best friend
