Jimin stares at the phone in his hand, twisting it over and over. He has not talked to you all night. He has been trying hard not to bother you. Namjoon said you were stuck at work and Jimin does not want to be that friend – the annoying one who does not know when to stop. You would text him if you wanted to. If you wanted to see him, if you wanted to continue whatever this is between the two of you.

Leaning his head to the couch, Jimin closes his eyes. This is an awful idea, he knows that it is. All you wanted is a good fuck, which is something Jimin is more than willing to give. Hell, of course he is. But what he actually wants is more and with every touch, every breath, seeing you becomes harder. You intoxicate him, have become an addiction and if Jimin thought he loved you before – well, this is unbearable.

Just thinking about your legs curled around his waist makes him hard. Thinking about his name on your lips, your fingers entwined in your hair makes him want to lose it. Jimin rubs his temples. He should not be thinking about you. Not now; not when he is hanging out with Namjoon and Seokjin. Not when they are in the kitchen, cleaning quickly because Katie texted Namjoon asking to come over. Jimin will be kicked out in likely a few minutes, but the place he really wants to be at is your place and that is unlikely to happen.

A phone vibrates somewhere in the room. Opening his eyes, Jimin sits up on the couch. He scans the room, the coffee table before seeing the phone ringing on the end table. It is Namjoon's phone, his screen lit up as Jimin leans over.

"Hey, Joon," he yells out. "I –"

Jimin stops when he reads your name. He stares for a few moments. It is past midnight, past midnight on a Friday and you are calling Namjoon.

Jimin's hand twitches. Before he can stop himself, he is swiping to answer. "Y/N?"

A pause comes from the other end. "Joonie?"

Jimin grits his teeth. You sound confused and without meaning to, he lets out a swear.

"No. It's me, Y/N. Fuck – are you drunk?"

It takes you a second to answer, "No."

You say so stubbornly and Jimin rolls his eyes at the ceiling. "You are. Shit."

Scanning Namjoon's apartment, Jimin sees he is alone. Namjoon and Seokjin are still cleaning and without thinking twice on the matter, Jimin stands. Stuffing both hands into his coat, he tugs this on while cupping the phone with his shoulder.

Jimin halts as soon as he walks out the door. He has no right to go after you. You are an adult, you can make your own decisions and Jimin is not your boyfriend. But then he remembers Katie is on her way here, which means she is no longer with you. You are out at a bar drunk, alone and suddenly Jimin does not care what you think about the matter.

Covering the receiver with one hand, he yells, "Namjoon! I'm leaving – have fun with Katie!"

Without another word, Jimin disappears out the door.

"Stop yelling at me," you whine from the other end of the phone.

Jimin's expression softens, door shutting behind him. "I'm not yelling," he says, hurrying down the hall. Squinting into the snow, he pushes open the door to the parking lot. "Where are you?" he asks, fumbling with his keys.

There is a long pause in which Jimin hears only thumping bass and laughing people. He sits impatiently in the driver's seat, drumming frantic fingers on the edge of his steering wheel as he waits for an answer.

"What bar is this?" you whisper loudly, not bothering to cover your phone with your hand.

Jimin closes his eyes and mutters, "Fuck."
