I hide my pain in layers, layers
Of my poetry
So people don't see how vulnerable
My heart is.
But this pain has been my strength all along;
My salvation from ignorance.
So hold my hand,
Take the fall
And allow your pain into the abyss
Of my words.
Let me take you away from the noise,
Dive in with your naked soul
Bathe in the hues of my words
Let me name your emotions
Tormenting the restless mind.
I ain't your angel
Nor am I the devil in the nightmares.
I am just a healer passing by.
Trust me,
Let me mend the bruised soul
Ease the strained forehead.
And when its time for parting
I will lay you down gently
Let your heart be at peace.
Some day when sadness
Deprives the sky of its color
Follow the north star
And you'll find yourself again.
