Hawks's POV

I hadn't seen my Touya ever since the day he pushed me out of the window. I knew he had done it to protect me, but I couldn't help but feel a small bit hurt. It really was a dangerous situation, I could have gotten killed. I tried my best to not be too harsh to him and myself, but I felt like a teenager girl from a soap after a breakup with her boyfriend. But most of all I was feeling worried. Where was my beloved Touya now? What if the villains had killed him? What if he was in need of my help?

I was literally worried sick. After the events in Touya's flat I had flown to my house and not left it ever since. Most of the time I was just sitting in the living room on the sofa and watching TV or blankly staring at the wall. Or at my phone, where I opened the front camera to look at the hickeys he had made, remembering the best night of my life. It's funny to think that it had all started with a kidnap.

My phone was ringing constantly, several people were trying to reach me. Many nknown numbers, the number of the police station and Endeavor. They all called me. And I didn't pick up. Not even once. I couldn't make myself do it. I didn't feel like talking, much less like explaining why I wasn't working. I would just claim later that there was an emergency in my family.

But after the hickeys had faded away I was left with nothing to prove me that I had really found my Touya again and he still loved me like I loved him. It felt like like we never found each other again. Like I never got the chance to tell him I loved him and spent the best few hours of my life in his arms. Like it was all just a beautiful dream and now... I was back to reality. I was on the verge of losing my mind. I couldn't lose my Touya. Not again. I felt like I would die if I wouldn't see him again soon.

After days of not leaving the house, I finally decided I needed some fresh air and some normal food. So I went to a McDonald's, which wasn't really that far from my house. I could easily walk there and back. I put on a much too oversized coat to hide my wings, like I always did when leaving the house on non hero businesses and when I was all by myself. Being a pro hero, I couldn't leave the house without fans wanting to talk to me or villains trying to attack me. With the oversized coat, a hat and a scarf hiding everything but my eyes, I was just looking like some really chubby man. Not a pro hero. Not even someone with a cool quirk.

The walk there wasn't very tiring and I was happy to be just among normal people, feeling like one of them.
"You are one of them.", my head said.
"Hah. Nah."

I was standing in the queue when he came in. Black hair, purplish scars sharp blue eyes. I couldn't help but stare a bit. I had to admit, I was pretty desperate to at least see him smile at me again or just feel him close. I had to talk to him. I would die if I didn't.

Next to him was a small bubbly girl that was obviously younger than him. She had blonde hair and was wearing a uniform I recognized from one of the middle schools not too far away.  While Touya didn't really look all too happy about being there, she was excitedly saying something about Happy Meals for her and some friend.

Leaving the queue, I headed towards the two of them. The girl was probably a fellow villain. I made sure to bump into Touya, who had to turn around from the girl to see what had happened. "Sorry.", I mumbled as I made eye contact with him. It wasn't for long, but I still felt like those piercing blue eyes could see right through me. I didn't know whether he has recognized me, but the fact that the villain didn't start a fight with me right there and then was a good sign. I think.

I rushed past him to the bathrooms, my heart starting to beat faster. Just as I had opened a cubicle, I was pushed inside and heard the door being locked. Strong but gentle arms were wrapped around me and I melted into the familiar touch. It was Touya.
