Shivering

It seemed like she wasn't home so he threw on his suit. He stood out on the window without his mask on. He slipped it on as he crouched down, about to jump.

"What the fuck Peter?!" Peter's head whipped around.

'God dammit! He could've just not answered and played dumb! He could've just asked who Peter was or something!'

"No... Peter no... How..." He took off the mask and frantically jumped to excuses. "May! It's not what it looks like!" "Oh so it doesn't look like you're spider-man!?" "shh!- No! This is a costume for- for a... Halloween party!" "Its December, Peter!" She yelled. "Shit." He hissed.

"So now you're lying to my face! Oh god... oh god, oh god... I do so much and try to keep you safe and you go out every night trying to kill yourself?! Did Stark do this?!" "Yes-! no-let me explain!" Her face was scrunched up in anger. She looked like she could explode. "I- I was spiderman before and Tony made this suit to keep me safe!" "How is this safe, Peter?!"

She was yelling, he was yelling, it was always bad when they fought.

"Who knows what he did with that?! He could have some- some self destruct button on there! He's a weapon builder!" "Used to be a weapon builder! You might not like him but he's actually a really good guy!"

She took a deep breath. "Ok..." she breathed. "If you like him so much, you might as well go live with him." Her voice was cold. It made a shiver go down Peter's spine.

"No... no May you don't mean it." "I mean it. You have 5 minutes to pack. Before you leave, give me the suit." "No- May you can't do that!"

Tears streamed down his face. She wasn't even fazed by it. All he wanted was we to be hugged and comforted by his aunt. She always did that when he was upset. She would make him feel better, but this was on Peter. He screwed up!
(At this moment, Peter knew he fucked up)

" Yes! I can! Pack your stuff and get out!" She yelled as she stormed out Of his messy room. Peter did as he was told and just threw a bunch of clothes, his phone, a charger and school stuff in a backpack. He took off the spider suit and changed. He'd get it back eventually, right? She'd realize she overreacted and ask for him to come back.

'Not if you're dead in the next 24 hours'
Peter shook the thought away.

When he walked out of his room, he was met with May at the exit door with her arms crossed. Peter looked at his feet guiltily and sniffed as a tear streaked down his cheek again. This hurt. A lot. May never got this mad at him before. Sure he got grounded a few times but... she never really yelled at him this much.

"Hand the suit to me." He looked up at her with desperate eyes. "Now." He shakily handed it to her. It felt like he was giving his soul away. He felt empty.

"Get out. Live on the streets. You should be able to take care of yourself if you can fight some mutant," She spat. He rushed out. Peter was immediately hit with a burst of cold wind. He shivered as he heard the door slam shut and heard the sobs of his aunt from the other side.

He tried to call Tony but he didn't answer. Of course he didn't. Who would want him in their house? His only living relative just kicked him out.

Since it was like 1:00 in the morning and no one was outside, he just swung to the tower. He hated himself for just going there uninvited but he was desperate.

By the time he got there, he felt frozen. He stumbled inside the tower but his legs gave out. Luck seemed to be on his side when he didn't hit the floor but was caught by Tony.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

Peter's body raked with sobs in Tony's arms. "I-I don't know what to do! I screwed up so bad!" "Pete. You're fine. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm not gonna lie, I think May over reacted a bit... We'll get your suit back and work it out. Everything'll turn out ok." Peter just nodded. He really hoped Tony was right.
