"I'm sorry," Peter said out of no where. It caught Tony off guard. Why would he be sorry?

"Why? You don't have anythi-" "I'm sorry I'm like this. I-I'm sorry I'm crying. I'm sorry for not being able to save you and if I just got the gauntlet off in the first place we wouldn't be here- I- I'm just sorry I wasn't strong enough!" Tony could feel Peter's breath hitch against his chest. The man was in shock for a moment, unable to bring himself to speak.

He'd remembered that day like it was yesterday. For Peter, it was yesterday...

Peter opened his mouth again to speak only to be cut off by Tony. "Don't you dare say sorry again. I don't want to hear it. Nothing is your fault. You did everything you could- and look! I'm alive and well!" He moved around his good arm a bit, showing it still worked. Sadly, only one of them still fully worked...

"...Y-Yeah... ok." "Alright back to hugs 'cause I haven't seen you in 5 years." Peter couldn't hide his wet chuckle as they went back to their hug.

This picture had to be one of the favorites. It showed the two asleep on a couch in a dimly lit room. It was movie night and both Peter and Tony had gotten a lower amount of sleep than they'd liked.

"Hey Pete. You ready for the movie?" "Yeah." Tony snorted a bit. "Where'd your enthusiasm go, kid? I miss it already." "Eh. I'm just a little tired."

Correction: he was exhausted. Exams were back and they'd been over the week. Of course, they went well but the days went by incredibly slow.

He'd stay up almost all night studying, go to school and do his exams, go home, (he had to cancel hanging out with Tony for the week, except for when he came to the apartment to help Peter study some more) stay up almost all night again doing homework and continuing to study, and it repeated for the next 4 days. He couldn't even get in any spider-manning. With that and the cancelled lab hours, it was absolute torture.

"You're bad at lying Pete." He led his kid into a hug, which Peter leaned into, sighing in content. He could've fallen asleep right then and there. "You're ok though? Exams went well?" "Mhm. They were surprisingly easy." "Of course they were."

"Hey! Enough father-son bonding time! Right now, it's movie time," Clint shouted from the living room. "Ok, ok! We're coming."

As soon as Tony and Peter walked into the room, the whole team cooed. "Excuse me but what the hell are you guys awing at?" Tony asked with a raised eyebrow. Peter looked just as confused. He was too tired to answer though.

They didn't have to explain when Tony looked to his side. His arm was slung around the boy's shoulder and Peter was just leaning into his side looking exhausted. "Are you sure you're up for movie night kid? By the looks of it, you'll be out in the first five minutes." "No I w'nt." "Uh huh. Sure." He replied sarcastically.

Tony was right, but wrong. Peter wasn't out in the first five minutes. He was asleep in a record of 3 minutes and 46 seconds. FRIDAY timed it. They were in the same position as they had been when they walked in except Tony rested his chin on Peter's forehead. The young hero was snoring quietly. Anyone there to witness it said it was the cutest thing ever.

About halfway through the movie, Tony was taken by his own exhaustion. He'd gotten slightly more sleep than Peter had but it was still an extremely low amount. He was worrying about his kid. They hadn't gone this long without at least doing a lab day... Was he eating? Drinking enough water? Of course, knowing Peter, he wasn't sleeping enough at all. Tony would just lay in his bed on the side of Pepper, worrying about him.

"Guys. We need a picture of this," Bruce whispered, laughter slightly shaking his voice. "FRI?" "The picture has already been taken Doctor Banner."

Though there were plenty more photographs, This final picture they'd looked at so far happened to be just months ago. It was of Tony holding Morgan and Peter, celebrating. Their eyes were squeezed shut with laughter.

"Petey!" Morgan squealed. The pitch of her voice stung Peter's ears a bit. "Hey Morgan!" He picked his sister-but-not-sister up. "How's it goin'?" "Great! I missed you! Daddy and Mommy missed you too! But not as much as me!" She exclaimed proudly. "Yeah I bet. I missed you too. Sorry I've been so busy though Morg. Homework is not treating me well..."

The small girl gasped. "Why's Homework treating you bad!? Have daddy make it go away!" "Make who go away? Pete, is that Flash kid bothering you again? 'Cause I will press charges." "No Tony I'm fine. I was just talking about how much homework I've had." "You know you can come here. I can help you with it. Than you won't have to stay up all night doing it."

"Well than I don't feel good about it... I always feel like I have to do it myself." Tony scoffed. "You and your big guilt complex kid." "Mhm." Welp I'm gonna head to the lab. I've been working on a chemical mixture that I think I've almost figured out." "Alright. Please don't die. You know that's dangerous." "Hey. It's my job to worry about you, not the opposite. I do the dangerous stuff so you two, my main priorities in life, don't have to." "You're such a dad," Peter said laughing. "Yeah. I know."

Around two hours later, Morgan was in the middle of showing Peter some of her new toys she'd built herself when they heard a celebratory shout of excitement.

"Kids!" "Wha- huh?!" They were lifted off the ground. Each of Tony's arms hugged his kids. "I figured it out!" He laughed with pure adrenaline. "You did?!" "Go Daddy!" Morgan shouted. "Yep!" He hugged them closer.

"Man, I've been working on this for like... over a year." " Well I'm glad you got it."

They sat on the couch in a familiar position. The two were comfortable looking at the photos and sharing memories.

"Huh. Everyone got some great pictures." "Yeah..."

"...It feels like yesterday I saw you and chose you to fight at the airport... We go from that, half the avengers hating the other half, them coming back and... now. It's pretty damn crazy how that works." "Yeah." "Anyway, want to grab some food, thank the ladies and come back to look at some more pictures?" "Sure!"

Tony ruffled Peter's hair. "Let's go, kid."

They really had come a long way.
