When I was attending S.L. Mason Elementary School from the age of 3 to 10, I had learned a new language. The new language I learned is ASL: American Sign Language. I was either 6 or 7 years old when I learned how to do sign language, but I've been wearing hearing aids ever since I was 2 years old. The reason why I learned sign language was because I am hard of hearing and some of the teachers had thought that I couldn't talk. Sign language is basically talking with your hands.  American Sign Language is only expressed by movements of the hands and face. It is the primary language for people who are deaf, and hard of hearing. Even though I do wear hearing aids, I don't use sign language anymore because of the back surgery I had on September 30, 2005.
