"Really!?", I sigh and look disappointedly at the one bed in my room.

"How do we share one bed?", I sigh.

Scott shrugs. I stare at him. He stares at me.

"I'll make a boundary."

I bend over the bed and take one pillow and put it in the middle.

"I get the right side, you get the left side.", I say.

"Okay.", says Scott. He sits down on the left side of the bed. "What time is it?"

I look at the grandfather clock that says it's 11:58.

"Almost midnight. Let's get some sleep.", I say.

Scott lays down and pulls the covers over his head. I lay down and bury myself in the blanket.

Two minutes later Scott kicks me.
"Hey!", I whisper shout. I kick him back.

I hear Scott's muffled laughter. He kicks me again.

I sit up, "Seriously dude?"

He sits up.

"Sorry. I have a disease. It's called kick-syndrome.", he says.

We both laugh.

"Shh! We don't want to wake the others up.", I whisper.

Scott kicks me again. I kick him back.

We continue kicking each other until we hear a knock on the door.

We both look at each other and get out of bed and tip-toe downstairs.

The door knob on the front door is moving like someone is trying to get inside.

I look out the window and see John trying to open the door. He sees me then smashes the window.

"AHHH!", I jump back. John tries to climb through the window.

Scott grabs a sparkthrower and fires it.

John shouts in pain then jumps back outside. We hear foosteps leaving the house.

I get up and brush the shards of glass off me. Scott rushes over to me.

"You okay?", he asks.

I nod.

Sasha and Alex come running down the stairs.

"What's going on!?", says Sasha.

"John tried to break in.", says Scott.

"Yeah. We should leave. He could come back any time.", I add.

Sasha nods then she sees the window. She glares at Scott and points a finger at him.

"You're lucky I have insurance!", she snaps.

He puts his hands up in surrender.

"John did it.", he says.

"Typical Scott. Always blaming things on other people.", Sasha counters.

"Okay you two!", I step in between them.

"But where do we go?", asks Alex.

We hear footsteps approaching the back door. The door knob starts moving.

"Wherever the wind takes us. Let's go.", says Scott. He grabs my hand and we all run out of the house just as the back door flies open.
