"AUSTRALIA!!!!" Y/N was awoken from her sleep by Rosé peering outside of the airplane window.

Y/N had done her best during midterms week to expose the demigod to as much as she could to the land down under. Unfortunately, all of Y/N's knowledge of Australia came from The Wiggles, Steve Irwin, and Hugh Jackman. But, Rosé wanted to go to Melbourne specifically, so Y/N used up her flight reward points to afford the tickets. She couldn't help but wonder why, though.

As they touched down in the city, Rosé looked at Y/N with a hesitant glance. She couldn't quite pick up on it until they got to their hotel and Y/N was aligning her perfectly ugly Hawaiian shirts for the next few days.

"Y/N, should a person always be truthful?" Rosé asked, looking into the mirror in their Airbnb.

"I think they should. Life is too short to not talk about what you're really feeling." Y/N explained, coming over to turn her around. "Why the long face?"

"There is a reason why I wanted to come here." Rosé explained. "I found my- my mom on the Faced Book. And, I want to meet her while we're here. I want to know if she really wanted me, or if she just gave me away to Zeus."

"But we know-"

"I just want to hear her say it. So I can be free of that burden." Rosé embraced Y/N tightly.

"I'm sure she didn't want to give you up." Y/N smiled. "I mean, you're kind of awesome. You play Mario Kart with no controller. Now, we'll meet your mom after we go on every rollercoaster in Australia."

"And meet The Wiggles!" Rosé cheered, kissing Y/N on the cheek.

"We can try." Y/N laughed. "What if they're on a world tour?"

"Then we're getting on another plane. Immediately." The demigod smiled, running away. She laughed so loudly. It was a bright ringing in Y/N's ears.

The two walked hand in hand around the theme park, with Rosé holding a big cone of cotton candy. She bit furiously, which amused Y/N to no end. They spent the whole day going on different rides, and even trying their hand at the arcade. They worked together to rig the system with Rosé's powers- and Y/N ended up winning the demigod a large stuffed sloth.

Everything felt good. There was no arguing, no overprotective egos. Just Rosé eating fair food and Y/N beating her at bumper cars. She would love a life like this, where they were like everybody else and they could go out and forget about the world. But they weren't your average couple, on either world.

"What's for dinner?" Rosé pouted.

"I figured it's time that we tried some authentic Aussie food." Y/N replied.

"NOTHING WITH AVOCADOS." Rosé demanded.

"OKAY!" Y/N swore over her heart. "But, apparently they do a mean fish and chips here. And you like fish sticks, so this is gonna be interesting."

"So they catch the fish and eat it? That's horrible."

"We could be having kangaroo and emu for dinner, but even I'm not ready for that." Y/N remarked. "Well, what do you think?"

The two arrived at a waterfront restaurant, which towered over the boardwalk. The exterior was plated with windows.

"It looks like Red Lobster." Rosé reminisced on one of their first lunch dates.

"I hope it's better than Red Lobster for these prices." Y/N muttered as they walked in. "Table for three, please."

"Three?" Rosé questioned as they walked to a table to meet a middle-aged woman with kind eyes. She wore a black pantsuit, and her long hair was pushed back into simple braids. There were tears in her eyes. "...Mom?"
