Change in Heart

Laura's P.O.V.
"Vanessa!" I gasped
"What the hell!?" Riker grabbed Maia's hand and pulled her to him.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry Maia, I don't know what came over me I-I" Vanessa replied
Maia just looked at her with tears in her eyes, in Riker's arm.
Riker gave Vanessa a dirty look
"Riker I-" Vanessa said
"No. Look any chances of us being friend are over now. I can't believe you" Riker said as he shook his head and walked away with Maia.
I looked back at Vanessa who was on the verge of tears.
"Ness-" I started
"Riker no-" she got up and ran over to him while I just sat there in awe.
"Well that was un-expected." Ross said as he walked up behind me
"Just like everything else in my life" he stared at me
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my drink, ready to walk away.
"Wait Laura" he stood in front of me
"What" I sighed
"I don't know what to do with myself" he shrugged his shoulders
"That sounds like a personal problem" I said back
"No, not like that.. I just don't know what to do if I'm not with you" he said
I looked down
"I can't go on like this Laura I just can't do it" he said
"We can still be friends" I replied, looking up at him.
Then something clicked in him, I could tell. His eyebrows pulled together and he shook his head.
"No. No Laura, I can't be your friend it's too damn hard" he started to walk away
"Ross" I called
He turned around
"Look.. I still need you in my life" I shrugged my shoulders, that was the truth. I did.
"As friends right" he sighed
I looked down not knowing what to say..
He took that as a yes,
"No. I'm serious Laura. I can't see you anymore, I don't want to hear your voice, I don't wanna talk to you, I don't even wanna look at you. And I sure as hell don't wanna be your friend." He said
I just stood there in shock, on the verge of tears. I don't know why
"If that's what you want" I said slowly and doubtfully
His his eyebrows pulled together
"That's what I want." He said
I slowly nodded my head, "okay" I softly said
"Yeah, okay" I said louder then walked away.

I'm confused. Did he just break up with me now? I feel hurt from whatever just happened. I just wanna be back with him, I screwed up.. But yet I'm bad for him.
Different thoughts were going through my mind as I walked down the ally. I had no where to go, Ross didn't want to see me and the only place I had was his room.
I texted Rydel and she said I could crash at her house tonight.. Along with Maia.
I texted "thanks del I'm-" I didn't finish because
All of a sudden I was on the floor. I saw black shoes in front of me before I blacked out.

Everything was blurry. I steadied my eyes and I realized that I woke up in Ross's room.
I slowly sat up and looked out the window. What the hell happened?
Then I turn and Ross is sitting on the windowsill looking at me.
He looks at me with his brown eyes, it's like he felt sorry for me.
"Uh" I looked away from his eyes before I could get lost in them
"What- uh what happened last night" I held my arm.
He moved his head up slightly,
"I found you in the park, you were un-conscious and laying on the grass"
He said
That took me by surprise. I shook my head, "but last I remember I was in the Ally way, then I was on the floor looking at ..someone's shoes in front of me" I said
His eyebrows pulled together and he clenched his teeth. His arm was resting on his leg that was bent on the windowsill.
"What happened?" I whispered to myself and raised my hand to my forehead.
He breathed "Do you think it had something to do with Noah?" He asked doubtfully
Like he didn't want it to be true.
That was a scary thought..
"Uh I don't know.. I'm not hurt or anything" I said As I moved around to make sure
"I think" I added
He looked down at the floor.
I sighed, "I'm sorry, I was suppose to go to Rydel's house last night. I shouldn't be here" I was starting to get up.
When I stopped. "Wait" I said
He looked up at me, "did you.. Bring me here when you found me?" I asked
"Yeah" he said, his cheeks becoming pink
"..why" I asked
"Because I wanted to make sure you were safe.. Since we're.." He stopped and looked up as if he didn't want to say it.
"Friends" he finally spit out.
I sighed
"Well thanks for not letting a stranger take me home" I tried to change the subject..
He pierced his lips together, and nodded.
I opened my arms motioning him to give me a hug, friends do that.
"No" he replied
I sighed, "why? friends hug too you know. Especially when they save your life"
"I told you Laura." He faced me
"I can't talk to you, I can't look at you, I can't touch you." He started walking towards me.
"Because if I come over there and hug you-" he bent down to my level and our faces were the closest they've been in a while.
"I may never let you leave the bed." He said, my heart started pounding.
I looked back and fourth at his lips, heavily breathing..
"Then don't let me" I whispered
He looked up at my eyes, wondering if he heard me clearly.
"I-I can't" he said to himself
"What do you want to do?" I asked
He paused and then said what he wanted to say for a while it looks like.
"I want to throw you in my bed and never let you leave" he looked at my lips,his arm was on the bed holding him up.
"So do it" we were so close to each other. Staring at each other's lips..
Then the door swung open, "dude do you know where-" Ryland looked at us
"Oh sorry Laura I didn't know you were here" he said
"Uh no it's fine, I was just... Leaving" as much as it Pained me to say it I had to go.
I got off the bed, Ross looked at me like he wanted me to stay. I looked back the same way..
But I walked out.
Maia's P.O.V.
"Maia please, I wanna see you" Rocky said
"Rocky" I sighed putting my phone closer to my ear.
"Remember the last time I saw you... It didn't really go well" I answered
"It's different now, I know that you have feelings for.. Riker now" he said
The line went silent..
"Then why do you want to see me" I asked
"Because, that doesn't mean I still don't have feelings for you" he said
"Nothing is going to happen between us, how many times do I have to tell you" I said
Just then Riker walked into my room, he didn't know that I ever talked to Rocky after that restaurant incident...
Rocky was starting to say something but I cut him off because I didn't want Riker to hear that I was talking to him.
"Okay? Talk to you later.. Maybe" I said as I pressed the red "end" button.
I set my phone down on the night stand, locking it.
"Who was that" Riker smiled as I laid next to him on the bed.
He put his arm around me
I smiled
"No one" I replied.
