Panic

Ellington's P.O.V.

"Come on mom" I said helping my mother into the car.

Rydel was in the passengers seat ready to go.

They finally released her, she's totally crushed about dad.. I mean that's all she had. I moved out and got married, and dad was all she had.

They were suppose to grow old together.

"Mom do you wanna stay with us for now" I asked her

She looked to Rydel

"No thank you sweetie. I'll be just fine" she touched my cheek like she use to when I was a kid.

"You sure? Rydel and I have plenty of room" I tried persuading her, I don't want her to be alone. She doesn't deserve that.

"Yes. Don't worry about me, I can stay with my sister up north if that'll make you feel better" she smiled but I can see right through it.

"Okay" I said

"Just take me home and I can make plans later" she added

I did.. I drove her home.

I haven't been home in almost a year. This is the house I grew up in.. With my dad.

I helped her into the living room, while Rydel stayed in the doorway.

"Thank you honey" she said

I tried to smile, but it didn't reach my eyes.

She hugged me, she knew I needed it.

I saw Rydel smile, then we left and got back in the car.

"You ok?" She asked putting her hand on my lap

I didn't answer..

Then my phone rang

"Hello?" I answered

It was Vanessa. She sounded like she was panicking

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Hurry home now" she said and hung up.

"What is it?" Rydel asked

"Vanessa.. She said to hurry home" I said and started driving

"You think it's about Rocky" she asked

"I don't know.. Well I was talking to Laura earlier and she just hung up on me out of no where.. Sounded like the phone dropped or something" I said

"You don't think that's a little suspicious! Ross wouldn't leave her alone would he.." She replied

"I don't know but they're at our house so. I'm not really sure I can take any more surprises" I added

She looked to me in a worried face.

We got to the house and Rydel almost fell out of the car since she was running to the door.

Was she hoping that Rocky was waiting there?

I followed her.

But Vanessa, Riker and Laura were waiting outside the door.

Rydel held Vanessa's hand.

"Shh. They can't know" Riker said

"The rest of the family if in the backyard. It's best to leave them there" he added

"What's going on?" I asked

I see Ross in the back of them pacing back and fourth, tugging his hair, having a panic attack.

"What are you people doing! Hurry we have to go now. WE CAN'T WAIT" he screamed and ran to the car.

"Look we got this call from.. Rocky" Vanessa said

Rydel looked to me

"He said that they had Laura, he made a terrible mistake and he couldn't take it" Riker said

"Laura?" Rydel repeated

Ross was already gone.

"Come on" we got in the other car and followed him.

"Why Laura?" Rydel asked

"I don't know. I don't know what any of this is about or what Rocky's been doing but I'm worried." Riker answered

"My sister. What are they gonna do to her" Vanessa was on the edge of tears.

I can't believe this. I held Rydel's hand, I can't lose her next.

Ross's P.O.V.

I could barely see the road, My eyes blurred with tears.

I had to see her. I wiped the tears from my eyes.

So many thoughts going through my mind I can't think straight.

I was about to run past a red light and hit a car that was passing, until I slammed my foot on the break.

I stopped and rested my head on the wheel, breathing heavily and my heart pumping from the rush.

I could just feel something boiling up inside me.

"DAMN IT" I shook the steering wheel.

"I SHOULD HAVE STAYED" I kept yelling at myself in frustration.

I had to find her. If anything happened to her I don't know what I'd do.

I spun the car around and drove to the last place I saw her.
