XLII. Broken Hearts Part 2

"Sino naman kaya 'yan?"

"Hindi kaya..."

"Puta, pare, 'wag kang ma-iisip ng ganyan! Mag-t-transfer na talaga ako ng eskwelahan kung may mangyayari pang hindi maganda sa Monte Carlo!"

Hindi pwede. Hindi pwedeng may mangyaring masama ngayon. Not with six students wandering on the other side at wala silang clue sa kung anong nangyayari.

"There are some changes with the rules of The Games. The Principal's rules are pretty boring, so let's make it more fun." The screen focused on the wooden table in the middle of the Campus Grounds. "There are new weapons in the table-- these weapons are real and can kill a person."

I heard gasps around me and worried comments for the remaining tributes. Gusto ba niyang magpatayan silang anim sa loob? Nababaliw na siya.

"For the students in the Dorms, don't try to go out or cross into the Arena. I have minions surrounding you and their only order is to kill whoever will go beyond your areas. So just sit back and relax."

"Hindi namin mabuksan 'yung Dorm Gates, badtrip!" Vince returned and he's very frustrated with what's happening. The screen showed the six remaining Tributes who were stunned and worried. I couldn't imagine them slaughtering each other to the death. Mas hindi ko ma-imagine na masasaktan si Dawn, or worse...

"Don't be too worried, Tributes. You will not kill each other." The middle of the screen that's focused on the big table darkened. Makalipas ang ilang sandali, nagliwanag muli ito at anim na lalaki ang makikitang nakatayo sa paligid ng malaking table. Hindi lang sila basta mga lalaki-- they were big and bulky men. They were wearing black suits and they had dark shades on. Para silang mga bouncer sa bar or 'yung mga wrestler sa TV na naka-formal attire lang.

"Sino naman 'yang mga 'yan?"

"Nakakatakot, ang lalaki nila!"

"Saan sila galing, bakit sila nandito sa Monte Carlo?"

"These are my minions. Six of them for the six remaining Tributes. Your new goal is to kill all of them before they kill all of you." As the unknown voice spoke that, the six men picked swords from the big table and started to walk in different directions. "Goodluck, Tributes, and may the odds still be in your favor!"

***Dawn's POV***

Peste! Sino ba 'yun? Sinong minions? "I have to find them." I climbed down the tree where I was resting at nagsimulang lumibot sa Restricted Area. Anim sila, anim kami. Kailangan makita ko silang lahat para matalo namin 'yung mga minions na 'yun! I was passing by a well nang may makita akong gumalaw sa hindi kalayuan. I held on my dagger at naghanda kung sakaling kailangan kong lumaban. I took cover behind a big rock and stared at the bush. Ilang minuto ang lumipas pero walang taong lumabas. I decided to continue searching for the other Tributes nang may lumipad na pouch mula sa damuhan. Sigurado ako, galing sa Tribute 'yun.

"Joyce? Peter?" I walked slowly towards the bush's direction at nilakasan ko na ang loob ko para magtawag. Nagulat ako nang bigla silang tumayo mula sa damuhan.

"Dawn!"

"Raymond! Dion!" Agad akong lumapit sa kanila at nagtago kami sa likod ng damuhan.

"Ano ba'ng nangyayari?"

"Hindi ko alam, Raymond. Pero ang sigurado ako, kailangang makita natin 'yung iba para malabanan natin 'yung mga minions na 'yun."

"Nakita ko kanina si April sa Gym. Baka nandun pa rin siya ngayon." Pagbabalita ni Dion.

"Tara, pumunta tayo dun!" Tatayo na sana si Raymond nang hatakin ko siya pababa. "Bakit?"

"Anong meron kayo?"
