" Ummah, why are you crying, where is my sister?, It's tea time, and she isn't here" I said as I cleaned Ummahs' face. " Farouk, your sister got lost in a play ground, but we'll find her soon" Abbah said as he knelt to meet my height beside Ummah. We heard the door bell ring and Nanny Aisha quickly ran to open the door.
" A package sir" Nanny Aisha said as she handed a box to Abbah. " What's that?" Ummah asked as she joined him to open the box.
I watched as Abbah pulled out the Shoes Fauziyyah wore today, her purple converse. Ummah read out a piece of paper out loud to us.
" Forget about your daughter for good, she's gone" Ummah said with her hands shaky as she dropped the paper to the ground.
Fauziyyah was gone.
I couldn't live without my sister.
