The Heartbreaker

There once existed a young handsome man by the name of William Mcgolf, the latter was of a descendancy of wealth, science and philosophy; the largest end of the stick in the birth lottery if you ask me.

However, not at any point of his life was he of a spoiled or over parented character, he was always distinguished for his strict humanist morals and his few acts of philanthropy, which would consist of various significant donations to children hospitals as well as publicly endorsing and supporting a private housing plan for the homeless.

With goods looks comparing to the likes of musical stars, he is no stranger to fixing up with misses and in more than one case marriage. With an absurdly high number of prospects, it would not be abnormal for him to struggle deciding who the right one is. However, at age 31 he has stated full heartedly that he has "found love" and he really does seem to believe it wholeheartedly; the latter being her hook nosed laboratory assistant or often times called a "glorified cleaner" who goes by the name of Elizabeth Milliam, having being accused of not being as provocative or high enough class as the wife of William Mcgolf should.

Colleges and close friends as equals hassle him about his curiously odd choice for women. Many fables regarding theories of how such an odd match could ever come to be and such strange stories on how they meet and the very controversial but famed rumour of Elizabeth not having any previous scientific experience, only being offered the lucrative job in order for William to sweeten her and in time gain her heart.

However, in the night of a 8th of October everything was about to change for them, when the biggest rainstorm in the towns last 10 years raged down.

Trapped in their immense Gothic styled manor, which could easily be confused with the catholic cathedral not two miles from it. Although not a family of faith, the Mcgolf forefathers shared a deep love for Nothre Dame cathedral, modelling their house as closely as possible to the latter.
The couple separated at each end of the structure, getting on with the activities they each adored the most (apart from each other obviously).

William, downstairs in the laboratory experimenting with this new mysterious drug which he has not told even his spouse assistant about. "A little home project of mine" he would respond when his wife obnoxiously asked him what he would be up to this depressing evening.

Elizabeth was getting some cleaning done four stories above, at the main bedroom of the house, sized the same as any of the towns other scientists whole houses. Even thought they had multiple maids living around the house, Elizabeth took pride and duty in cleaning their bedroom, and she wanted to surprise her husband, specially since she often felt useless around the house.

At this point she now realised she had forgotten her mop downstairs at the laboratory, she remembered that today at 8:00pm was the weekly cleaning of the latter room. Happily she walked down the stairs with a reason to visit her husband. He was not a happy man when disturbed from his work, he was of the opinion "science is an art, and a man cannot be disturbed, since he must have a very deep concentration of the mind in order to fully minimise the Mount of mistakes possible".

As Elizabeth walked down the corridor leading to the door down to the basement, she meet one of her employees, Martha, a rather young beautiful girl, with too big dreams for her type, being called out by her colleges for being too expecting of life.

At this instant the young maid was looking abstractedly straight, almost like she was practising her posture, her back ninety degrees to the ground in a weird bent, with her chest popping out like if she was trying to display her breastfeeding organs. Her facial expression screamed determination ( probably off to clean the downstairs toilet if you ask me).
