We fought hard, for so long,
We struggled, to remain strong,
We were once innocent naive and vain,
Until that perfect life was destroyed when reality came.
Once we were surrounded by so much love,
We were perfectly pure as a white dove,
Then one day we simply looked in the mirror,
We realized what we'd became and what it'd taken to get here.
We struggled to get back to where we once were,
But we couldn't be that little girl anymore,
The real world held us tight,
And wouldn't let go no matter how fiercely we would fight.
We had to learn,
To learn to survive,
And we began to look at the world, through brand new eyes.
It didn't take long, till we were just like them;
Snatching away innocence and surrounding children in sin.
