For whatever reason when I'm writing and reading I don't imagine characters faces much aside from skin tone, body build and broad facial features like hair and eye colour. So, this was insanely difficult for me. I'm also not satisfied with a lot of these faces because it's hard to get the feeling that "this character feels right." Maybe I'm picky, Idek.
Also, I'm realizing my characters aren't all that diverse, which is kind of saddening. I need to do better. I feel like I project based upon what I read but my ideal story has more diverse characters. D&M was my first story on here about a year ago (wow time flies) and I guess I was kind of writing what I am used to seeing in fiction. Disappointing, in retrospect.
I don't know if I'll do dedicated cast chapters for Leap (X&A) , and SBF&L, but I am more satisfied with diversity of those characters, they feel more real to me. All my stories take place in North America and there's a lot more diversity than what I sometimes depict. I'm just here dragging myself, but if I don't who's going to, y'kno?
And also, it was really hard to find models I was super happy with. I tried to go with actors but then I realized there aren't really too many Latino actors with deeper skin tones out there (that I could easily find), and lots of other people didn't quite have the look I felt represented a character. So yeah, this was frustrating.
In that sense this cast is somewhat unofficial and based on your guys input I would definitely be willing to shake things up.

Maxence Danet Fauvel as Derrick I feel like he looks a little quirky, a little edgy, and that felt right.
Jacey Elthalion as Miguel 'Mike' Alvarez Not a hundred percent sold on this one, Mike's eyes are grey and I imagine his skin is a bit darker.

Dacre Montgomery as Ira This was based on a recommendation from one of y'all. Didn't really know who he was so I did some googles and his audition tape as Billy Hargrove in stranger things felt right. I feel like it radiates Ira energy.
Ian Garcia as Ricky Not sold on this, more of a placeholder.

Tony Thornburg as Dr. Ky Nguyen Happy with this one, he's got an intense energy about him that feels right for Ky. Alex Landi as Dr. Eun-Jae Song Also happy with this one, he plays a Doctor on a show so even better.
