Ever since I met you
My heart has no reason to soar
Above and beyond the stars
Reaching the ground only when you're gone

That every word you say angers me
That even your presence disgusts me
That your once beautiful smile
Now looks so ugly to me
Whenever you're around I have to hide behind a smile
As my heart clenches up in rage
And my eyes fill with hurt
I laugh through it all
Because I don't want to give you the satisfaction
Of knowing how broken I am inside
And it's all because of you
Never has my heart wanted to stop
To take me out of my misery
Of knowing that still, deep inside
I'm still in love with you
