Separated [Nalu]

Prologue

Everyone thought it was strange, years of being attached at the hip and they still weren't dating? People were starting to bet on whether or not Lucy and Natsu were ever going to get together. Most of Natsu's close friends were sure that he was going to die alone. Besides crude jokes about Lucy's... volumtuous figure, he had shown no interest in women.

Many of the older guildmates had tried to teach him how to get a girl (Although they suspected ladies were throwing themselves at him, being a powerful Fairy Tail mage and all.) or why dating while you are young is inportant.

He always disagreed, proudly proclaiming to the whole guild each time, "If I'm dating someone I won't be able to go on adventures with my friends all the time!"

Lucy had similar problems, all her friends tried to get her back into dating but she always insisted, "I'm not going to break my heart on every guy I find attractive. I have to find the right person for me." This of course was just an excuse, Lucy didn't know why she didn't want to get back into dating. She just... didn't.

At this point the guild was having the 'dating talk' with the pair weekly with no results. After some time, some of the more observant and matchmaking obsessed guild members, namely Mira and Levy, noticed a pattern. After these 'talks' Natsu and Lucy would sulk (Natsu not so much, but he was still unusually quiet) in opposite corners of the guild Hall and glance at each other ocassionally. At the end of the day, one of them would get up from their table, and 59 walk home with the other. Unsurprisingly, the other person always said yes to this request.

The rest of the guild gathered for one of their secret committee meetings. They had a lot of different committees. Way, way too many committees. Each had a purpose, like how to get Nab to choose a job once and for all, or how to get Cana to drink less. There was basically one for everyone at the guild held in secret behind the subject's knowledge. This particular task force was dubbed the 'Get Lucy and Natsu Together Committee'.

They focused on exactly that, get Lucy and Natsu to date without knowing it was the rest of their guild pulling the strings.
