"I was gonna stalk him on social media."

"I don't even know if he's on any social m-"

"Ink, everyone is on social media! Now come on, tell me his name and we'll stalk him!" Cross insisted.

"No!"

"Why?"

Ink didn't actually know why he wouldn't share the name with Cross. Maybe he was scared that he'd tell Dream, and then a God would know that he was talking to another mortal. And even though Dream was one of his best friends, that kind of gossip would spread among the Gods like wildfire. And it's bad enough that he already hung around with Cross. True, Ink knew what he needed to do to make his friendship with Cross actually legal in God laws, and that would be to mark him. But he had put it off for so long that he doubted he'd even need to do it anymore. Alpha would cover for him, Ink assumed.

"...Because I don't need to tell you...?"

Cross giggled. "What, don't you trust me?"

"No."

"At least tell me if you're dating yet!"

"We're not, we're-"

"Friends?"

"Not yet! We just met yesterday!"

"Is he your type? Like, personality."

"I don't really know him yet!"

"Do you even like him at all? You know, besides his looks?"

"Yeah, he seems like a nice guy so far!"

"Do you-" Cross went to ask another question, but Ashley pulled him out of the room, saying something about there being customers that needed to be dealt with.

Ink rolled his eyes, turning back to his phone.

I: Sorry, workmate was talking to me. What were we talking about?

E: Something about how not to run a business?

I: Oh, that was it! Our bosses really suck. Yours more, though.

E: Yours never shows up to work...

I: He runs another studio too. Me and three other workmates sorta run this place, we have a few other artists that work here too, but they're not always here because they also help out in the bigger studio. But there's a British guy called Jay, he never shows up to his shifts here. Like ever. We're always covering him.

E: Wow, he sounds reliable...

I: Yeah...

E: I gotta go, I'll talk to you later

I: Bye!

Putting the phone down again, Ink considered what Cross had said. He didn't even really know Error, why was he acting like this? But then again, you don't know someone as soon as you meet them. 'Yeah, I'm being reasonable, I just want to see what this guy's like!'  Ink told himself.

"Don't think I didn't notice, Reaper. And Error, how about reporting him next time? It would save you from getting caught up in everything." King Multiverse's voice was almost bored. "I'm not going to punish you this time."

Error and Reaper nodded, despite the fact that Error knew he'd never report his friends.

"And Nightmare, have you thought of what you're going to do to Dream?" KM asked, suddenly turning to the God of Negativity.
