The Team// Zach Herron

Dani's POV:

This morning was probably the greatest morning I've had in such a long time. Zach and I woke up together. Everything felt okay. We're all going back to LA today, which means I have to pack. Wiggling my way out of Zach's arms was difficult but somehow made it out. Time to pack, I grabbed my suitcase and started to take my clothes out from my dresser.

"What are you doing?" Zach asked in his morning voice

"Packing because we're going back home today"

"Let me start too" He said attempting to get up

"Wait let me help you" I said coming over to him

"No no, I'm fine I got it, just a little sore that's all" Zach smiled

I let him be, he's got this. Just makes me a little nervous. He grabbed his suitcase and started to pack up with me.

Two hours has passed, Zach and I had finished packing. I double checked the room for anything. 

"Hey before the flight I'm going to go visit my Aunt's house, I haven't seen Brett and Pete in a while so" I said to Zach

"Okay, do you want me to come with you?" He asked 

"I'll go by myself no big deal" I smiled 

"Okay that's fine, I'll see you meet you at the airport then?" 

I nodded and went out the door with my suitcase. Thankfully, I ordered an Uber to drive me to Aunt Diane's house.

Arriving there brought back so many memories, her house was a little yellow cottage. It felt so roomy and cozy, this memories are worth to keep. I stepped on the wooden stairs that go up to the porch and knocked on the black door. 

"Dani?" Aunt Diane said and she opened the door

"Surprise!" I smiled 

"Come in! Brett and Pete are in the twin bedroom" 

I walked in the narrow hallway to the bedroom door. You got this Dani, no need to worry about things. 

"surprise surpriseeee" I said opening the door

"DANI!!!" Brett and Pete said as they ran and engulfed me in a huge hug

"I missed you so much" Brett said 

"I missed you sissy!" Pete added

"I missed you both more" I laughed."I can't stay for long, I'm sorry guys. I have to catch a flight to LA again" 

"Don't worry about it, all that matters is that you're here now" Brett said

I hugged Brett tighter. After we all released from the hug, Pete went to play with his toys while Brett and I had a chat.

"How are things?" I asked

"Pretty good, mom is going to pick us up today, I think she's actually recovering now" 

"that's amazing!" I said. "Make sure to tell mom that I love her okay?" 

"I will" Brett said. "Now what have I missed" she asked 

I told her everything about Zach, the boys, Ray, that girl Rose, their old management, just everything. 

"Holy crap, that was a lot." Brett said 

"tell me about it" I laughed 

"Are things good now?" she asked 

"yeah, we're all going back home today which is really nice. All the fans are going to be excited that the band is back, Ray and I can finish up college finally" 

"that's great!" Brett said. "I'm glad everything is okay now"

"Me too" I said as my eyes looked on my phone to check the time. "I got to go catch the flight" I sighed getting up and walked out to the living room where Aunt Diane and Peter were there. 

"Do you want us to drive you there love?" Aunt Diane said 

"That would be lovely, yes please" I replied 

Both kids got into the backseats, I hopped in the passengers, and my Aunt drove to the airport. Corbyn texted me.

bean: Dani we're at the airport waiting for ya, no rush

me: i'll be there in two minutes

bean: sounds good!

When we arrived, my family walked me to the gate where everyone else was. Pete ran to Daniel first.

"I missed you little dude!" Daniel laughed as he picked up Pete

Brett gave Ray a huge hug. "I missed you girlie" Ray said squeezing her tight

Brett and Pete hugged everybody. Now it was time for me to say goodbye to them

"I'll miss you both, don't worry though! I love you guys both, I'll call you Brett, and Pete? I'll send you toys" I said hugging them both

"I love you too Dani" Brett said 

"I wuv you too" Pete said 

I let go and said my goodbyes to Aunt Diane, it was time to go. I grabbed Zach's hand and the gang started to board the plane. Ray and I had seats next to each other, we spent our time talking until it was time to fly. 

"Ladies and gentlemen, please put your phones on airplane mode and buckle your seatbelts, we are going to take off shortly" The flight attendant announced

Time for a long flight! To waste time, I took out my journal and actually thought of something to write. Man, I haven't done this in such a long time.
