Kayt

I heard shaky breathing nearby but I couldn't see. All I could picture was the bullet hitting Jackson and the blood pouring out of his mouth as he gruesomely smiled. Why would he smile as he was dying? There was a soft laughter as I started crying.

"Don't cry," said a sickeningly familiar voice. "Don't cry Kayt, you're safe here." I bit on my lip and struggled a little. Being blind to this was horrible. I could hear him laughing and talking, but couldn't see his face or where he was standing.

The darkness got worse and he chuckled quietly. "Please," I begged quietly. "Just let me go."

There was loud laughter. "Oh Kayt, you are free to move around. You are not bound as tightly as you think."

I lifted my fingers and pulled down on the blindfold. He walked over to me and rubbed my chin gently. "Hello Kaytlyn," he said.

"Jacob what are you doing?" I said quietly and angrily.

He smiled again and rubbed my cheek. "You looked so pretty last night at the dance. I couldn't wait much longer to put my plan in action."

"You shot Jackson..." The tears started again as I sobbed. In the dim light of the room we were in, I could see the blood on my hands. "No! Why would you kill Jackson?" I said and he shook his head.

"I had my reasons." He stood up and walked to the other side of the room. He turned on a few more lights. The room was nice, beautiful even but it seemed grotesque to me. He was wearing a blood stained shirt, splatter from Jackson. He ran his hand back over my hair after walking back to me. "You'll understand soon enough."

"Please stop touching me."

He chuckled and walked into the kitchen of the room. As he opened the fridge, I stood up. I looked around and found the small monster animal that meant so much to me. I walked over to it and picked it up. He walked up to me and grabbed my shoulders. "I grabbed that just for you," he said. "I know how much it means to you."

"Thanks," I said quietly. "I guess."

"Tell me about it," he said quietly as he rested his chin on my shoulder. "I want to know more."

"My dad gave it to me when I was little. It was the last thing I ever got from him before he was in the car accident that killed him."

"I'm sorry," he said and smiled at me. "But it's all going to be okay now. I grabbed a few other things from your room. It's mainly clothes, but I also grabbed something I suppose was a gift." He left me and picked up the mirror I gave to Jackson. He smiled and I started crying.

I ran to him. "Please Jacob, give me it. That's for Jackson."

"You don't think I know that?" he said and laughed cruelly. "I'm not an idiot darling. Don't worry; I got rid of the razor. I don't want my little sister to hurt herself."

"Please give me the mirror," I said and he smiled wickedly.

"I require payment first." Tears ran down my cheeks and he cupped my neck in his hand.

"Why are you doing this to me Jacob?"

"I loved you before anyone else did." He pressed his lips down on mine and I jumped away.
