Kayt
At the end of school I waited for him. Jackson ran down the stairs and slipped by me. "Hey Kayt," he said and we started walking towards the doorway.
"Hi Jackson," I said and smiled up at him. He ran his fingers back through his brown hair and smiled at me. "How was the rest of your school day?"
"Oh I don't really remember it," he said and laughed a little. "I was sleeping the entire time."
I laughed at him. "Well you look well rested."
"Let's go and get your mind off things," he said and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. While he was looking forward, I looked up at him. His placid blue eyes, surrounded by lines of red, stared forward. He had a smile on his face, dimple showing on his right cheek. He was gorgeous. I looked away when he caught me looking. "What're you looking at Kayt?"
"Nothing," I said quietly and he laughed.
"You can tell me the truth Kayt," he said and sat down on a picnic table in the park.
"I was just getting a better look at you," I said. He chuckled quietly. He turned red a little bit.
"Aw, well that's sweet. Look into a druggie's eyes and you'll see all the scars."
I sat next to him and set my feet on the bench in front of us. "That's poetic."
"It was part of some poetry I had to write while in rehab."
"Rehab didn't help?"
"Nope," he said and smiled at me. "You know you don't have to be embarrassed to tell me you were looking at me."
I blushed and he laughed again. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and smiled at me. "Sorry to disappoint," I said and he shook his head.
"You have not disappointed me at all," he said and smiled at me. "You've been nothing but perfect."
"I'm not perfection."
"Neither am I. I came here high today and had to get ibuprofen from a girl I've known for a few hours."
"I like you Jackson."
"Thanks," he said quietly. "At least someone likes me," he said to himself.
"Of course I like you." He smiled a little and looked back at me.
I bit on my lip under that gaze. He wrapped his arms tightly around me. "Why do you look so nervous?"
"I don't know," I said and he smiled.
"Don't be so scared. I won't hurt you." He sealed my lips with his gently and pulled away. "Is that what you wanted?"
"Kinda," I said quietly and shuddered.
"You are so cute," he said quietly and let go of me. He looked away quickly and wiped his eyes. He looked down to the ground and clenched his hands in-between his knees. He smiled at me.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." He smiled at me a little. "You are adorable."
"What's wrong?" I said and cupped his cheek in my hand. He pressed his lips hard to mine. I moaned softly and kissed him back. He pulled away after a while.
"I'm fine Kayt. I'm completely fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes," he said with a smile. "I'm sure."
