Hayce's POV
Lunch wasn't that bad, as long as you didn't count the constant stares. Beth had distracted me with news about the new history teacher. I didn't mind that Beth thought he was cute, it was more guy time for her. I looked at out the window while she told Damen about the classes we had. The sky was an orange color. I imagined driving away from here. I needed some kind of break. When it was time to go we went back upstairs, saying goodbye to Beth in the hallway. We went back in our room. I looked at Damen and saw him go towards the bathroom.
"Oh no you don't." I said running over and blocking the bathroom.
"Hayce, move out of the way." He said. 'Or I'll make you."
"Oh yah, how are you gonna do that." He dropped his clothes and grabbed me. He picked me up even though I tried to break free and he put me over his shoulder. He carried me over to my bed and dropped me. He closed the bathroom door behind him and I banged on it.
"Damen, open this door." I heard the shower turn on and I groaned. I turned off the lights and waited until he came out of the bathroom. When I heard him get out I stood in the dark outside the door. I heard the doorknob turn and the door open. When I saw him walk out I jumped at him. He landed on his back and I laughed as I pinned his arms down. It was then that I realized that he only had a towel around his waist. His chest and hair were still wet. I saw him look down and I followed his eyes. I was straddling him. I looked back in his eyes and saw him grin.
"Oh." I said and I stood up. I held out my hand and he took it. I helped him up.
"What's the point of bringing your clothes into the bathroom if your just gonna come out in a towel?" I asked with my arms crossed. They were almost touching his chest.
"I thought you were in a rush to in." He said with his eyebrow raised.
"Whatever." I mumbled. I walked into the bathroom and shut the door. I wrapped a towel around me when I was done. I walked out of the bathroom and I should've seen it coming. I was tackled to the floor. I was on my back and he was laying on me.
"Can you get off of me?" I tried pushing him off, but he wouldn't move. "I'm only in a towel Damen." I sighed.
"I know." He said, but he still didn't move. He put his hand up hesitantly and stroked my cheek. Then he got up and held out his hand. I held it and fell into him when I was up. I pulled myself away, his arm still around my waist.
I turned the lights back on and grabbed clothes. I stuck my tongue out at him before I went into the bathroom to get dressed.
