Hayce's POV

I stood there in front of the door. I was alone in the hall and I was still listening, but I couldn't hear much. I heard the chair move and I backed away from the door and leaned against the wall, pretending to be distracted. The door opened and the boy stepped out with a bag in his hand. He had brown hair that almost covered his eyes, but wasn't long (long hair is gross on guys). He walked away down towards the math hallway and didn't seem to notice me. I sighed thankfully and walked to my next class.

Damen's POV

I sat down in the chair across from the "headmaster" of the school I was supposed to go to now.

"Hello, Mr. Welsh." She said. She had her hands crossed and a serious look on her face.

"Hi." I said. I had to be here, but that didn't mean I had to happy about it.

"I'm sure your mother explained to you why you would be attending this school. She is a good friend of mine and I obliged to this agreement, but there are conditions." Great, more rules. I stayed quiet while she continued so I could leave sooner.

"You will have to maintain fair grades in your academics here and will have to do extra curriculars to keep a scholarship profile at this school. I may have offered for free tuition, but your behavior and overall attitude contribute to the way you are expected to be here. Is this clear?" She asked.

"Yes." I said.

"What do you do in your free time, Mr. Welsh?"

"I, um, swim." I said. I could do laps to keep me focused, but I never had the grades to make any real team.

"I'm afraid you won't be able to join the swim team because of the disadvantage it would be for the other teams, though it would be amusing." She said with a small smile. So she has a heart after all, who knew. I couldn't join the team, but I assumed that wouldn't happen.

"You can use our pool whenever you like for free time." She said.

"Thanks." I said.

"You may go now. Here is the key to your room. You may go there to get settled in. Your classes start in two days, so you can adjust." She handed me a key. I slid back my chair and was glad to be leaving. I opened the door and walked down the hall.

Hayce's POV

I was trying to complete the math equation when my teacher told me to report to the headmaster's office. I got out of my seat and grabbed my bag. I placed my notebook and pencil in it before walking out the door. I was nervous. I didn't do anything wrong, that I know of. I got to her office and knocked lightly on the door.

"Come in." I heard. I walked in and sat down. I out my bag next to the chair and looked up.

"Hayce, I would like to discuss some arrangements around here. You will be getting a tutor for history. Your parents requested it. Anything that you are concerned with or need to be discussed you may come and we will talk about it further. Thank you, you may go." She said shuffling some papers on her desk.

"Thank you." I said before leaving. I walked out and then I heard footsteps and voices everywhere. Class was over and we were done for the day. I continued walking to my dorm room. The dorms were three floors connected by a few hallways of elevators and stairs to the main building. It was on the right side, the left when you are outside facing the school.

I waited by one of the elevators and looked for Beth. I knew I probably wouldn't see her, she usually stays after to help her teachers grade papers. I looked back at the elevator when I heard the ding. I got in the elevator and hit the two. I clicked my nails on the metal bar as it went up. I got out and went to my room. I had to look for my key in my bag first though. I groaned, I better not have left it inside. I found it and unlocked the door. I put my bag on the bed along with my key.

I needed a shower. I took off my shoes and unbuttoned my shirt. I was left standing in a black bra with pink zebra stripes and my checkered skirt. I went to the bathroom and opened the door. I walked ahead, not looking up as I unbuttoned the button on my skirt. You could see the top of my black panties. I walked forward so I could turn on the shower, but then I ran into something. Someone.
