If Only

Chapter 36

Austin's POV

Garrett is standing by the window watching the rain pour down outside while I am on my computer trying to fix his class schedule. "Can you give me a logical reason as to why you signed up for Blank?You don't seem like the kind of person that would be want or even be remotely interested in that type of class." I say laughing as Garrett sits down on a chair and leans it against the wall, "I thought that if I took the class then I would have something interesting to talk about with this person that I like." I look away from mu computer screen and look towards Garrett who is staring right at me. "I have to say that I never would have thought I would see the day that Garrett Huntsman would have to learn a new trick to get a girl's attention." I say turning my attention back to the computer screen. "But if you want my advice, any girl that doesn't like you for who you are is not worth the effort that you are putting into this." Garrett sighs as he stands back up and looks at the pictures of my family. "Says the guy that has never had a girlfriend for as long as I have known him." Garrett picks up one of the pictures and looks at it carefully before putting it back down.

"I can't believe that you have this whole place to yourself." I look around the dorm room and nod my head, "For now, but Katie and Jonathan are moving in at the end of the week,and from what I have heard they are officially exclusive now." I say looking over at Garrett who keeps his back to me as he looks at more of my pictures,"It sounds like you want to be excited about it but aren't, and I can't see you living with two people that go at like rabbits." I just exhale a large breath wondering why Garrett seems so interested in my lifestyle choices. "It was my idea to let them move in here, she is my best friend and Jonathan is like an older brother to me." Garrett finally turns around to face me as he places his hands in the pockets of jeans, "So, I guess that would mean that if you and I are going to hook then we should do now rather then later when we have a chance of getting caught." I look at Garrett trying to act not to show just how much that comment phased me. I sit on my couch speechless for the longest time trying to come up with something to say but nothing right now would get me out this. 

"What are you talking about Garrett? You and I are just friends." I say taking a deep breath hoping that he bought it, but the look on his face tells me that he sees right through that lie. Garrett scoffs as he moves closer to me, "I have caught you checking me out more than once, and the way you can't keep your eyes of me sometimes when you think that I am not paying attention." Garrett and just stare into each other's eyes for what seems like forever. I try to laugh it off but what comes out is more of an awkward uncomfortable laugh, "You want to get serious and help me finish your class schedule." I say trying to get off the topic and back to the task at hand. "No, what I really want right now is for you to kiss me."I snap my attention away from the computer screen and at Garrett wondering if I really just heard what I think I heard come out of his mouth. Garrett stands there as a sly and sadistic smile comes across his lips, "Let's see what you got Black." He says. I slowly stand up off the couch and make my way over to him until I am standing directly in front of him, I let out a sigh before leaning in and placing a kiss on his lips, and soon enough Garrett and I start moving our lips in sync with each other for a second before I pull away. "You ready?'he asks and I just nod my head reconnecting out lips and the kiss gets heavier and deeper as Garrett places his right hand on my neck and lightly backs me up against the wall without once breaking our kiss. 

He runs his hands along the bottom of my shirt before pulling out of the kiss but only so he can roughly pull my shirt over my head and toss it to the ground, after that we start kissing each other again as Garrett seem to be passionately involved as he places both of his hands on my cheeks, he lightly shoves me onto the downstairs bed before pulling his tank top over his head and dropping it next to mine. He enters the bedroom bringing his lips back to mine as he gets on top of me and starts running his hands over my upper body, "Are you sure about this?" I ask him pulling out of the kiss and looking at him with a serious expression on my face. "You think that I wasn't I would be here right now?" He says as he unbuckles his belt and pulls it out from around his waist. I just shrug my shoulders as I grab his neck and bring him back down to me, I close my eyes enjoying the feeling of Garrett's lips on my neck as he slowly moves down my body until he reaches my belt.

I open my eyes and look around to see that I am back in the hospital with Garrett now fully awake and eating his breakfast. "Morning, you seemed to be having a good dream." Garrett says as he notices that I am now awake even if I didn't want to be, but that dream just officially confirms that I am gay and I am in love with Garrett Huntsman of all people.
