the date with bethany went great! it was very cliche, but fun! i took her to a amusement park that opened last week and after i took her out to dinner. it took some money out of my savings, but nothing that I can't replace by the end of the school week. it was the most fun I've had in months -- no, years. i even laughed! something that's so foreign to me. i laughed until my stomach hurt and until my eyes watered and it felt good. she said she would pick the place for the next date. i didn't even think there would be a next date, but that made me ecstatic. i walked her home after and she gave me a kiss! ON THE CHEEK! i know that in other people's eyes it would mean nothing, but to me it meant everything!
dad wasn't home to ruin my mood so i stayed happy for the entire night! it was the first time in years that i went to bed feeling happy. it felt good. it felt....different. i liked different now.
