CH. 05 - Ai Enma (Jigoku Shoujo)

"Y/N Y/L/N, confess your sin now otherwise I'll send you to hell." I said wearing no emotion on my face.

She is shock from what I said.

"If you're wondering who am I? I am a Correspondence of Hell so if you don't repent I'll definitely send you to hell."

She sighed deeply. She looks broken right now. She slightly open her mouth. I thought she was gonna say something. Is she mute now?

"I can't now, please." She pleaded with sad eyes.

"It's your time pretty girl. Repent so you won't be sent to hell."

She blushed at my remark.

"I don't know if I should repent because all this time I know what I was doing is wrong. I have a reason behind it so please, just give a month then send me to hell."

Her voice is soothing.

"Tell me what's the reason behind your actions."

She looked at me for a long time with her face saying if she'll tell me or not.

"Don't just look at me. Tell me. I don't have all the time in this world."

"Come with me first. I need to go to my sister. I will tell you when we got there."

She have guts to make me wait? Fascinating.

"Okay." is all I said.

She called a taxi. She opened the door indicating me to go in first.

What a gentle girl.

"You know being a gentle girl won't change my mind to send you to hell if you didn't want to repent." I said plainly.

"I didn't think like that. C'mon get in."

I walk inside then she follows me.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

I really want to have a conversation with this girl. Honestly, her voice makes my heart tingle.

Is this emotion real? I thought I have no emotion left since it's been locked in hell.

"To the hospital."

Hospital? Is she sick? Wait. She said we're going to her sister. Ah.

After some minutes, we arrive at the hospital. She goes out first and opens the door for me. Sweet.

She goes inside as I follow her. While we're walking she starts to speak.

"My sister is sick. She is the reason behind my actions." She said with sad eyes.

We stop in front of operating room. I look at her, she looks back. She pointed the girl inside. It's a little girl with tubes all over her body.

"She's my beloved sister. Our parents are gone. She is the only family I have. I do 'it' because I badly need money for her operation. As I do that job I've saved enough money for her. But I want to see her operation successfully. I asked you to give me a month because I do have 4 or 5 clients left to be entertained. The money I'll get is for my sister's basic needs then I'll send her to one my relatives."

It's heartbreaking seeing that little girl. And I pity her. She has to sacrifice herself for her sister. She is a selfless girl. I can't bear to see her like that.

Why do I feel such emotions right now?

"Fine. I'll give you a month."

Practically, I'm doom. Master of Hell will surely punish me. But well, this girl deserves it.

"Really?" Her eyes are beaming with happiness as she smile widely.

Her smile is beautiful too. I love it.

Love it? When do I feel love toward others?

And she unexpectedly hugs me.. tightly.

Ah. I feel my face hot. Her body is against mine. Her body is hot. I'm hot.

"Thank you so much!" She said happily without even thinking what I said earlier that she'll go to hell after. Isn't she afraid?

"Just a reminder. Your soul will wander in pain and agony for eternity after a month."

She just shrugged. Is she.. crazy?

The thought of this girl suffering in hell is making my heart ache. I won't let her suffer for eternity.

"Do you wish to stay here on earth and look out for your sister?"

I've made a decision. I decided to invite her to be a Correspondence of Hell with me. I want to be with this girl.

She looked at me confusedly.

"If so, be with me."

"B-be with you?"

"What I meant was join me to be a Correspondence of Hell."

Her eyes went big from what I said.

I continued speaking.

"By that you won't be sent to hell to suffer for eternity but you will carry out the job as a Correspondence of Hell forever. You'll see people die, suffer and torment in hell. Can you bear it all in exchange to live alongside your sister?"

She didn't hesitate to think what I offered her and nodded.

"I will." She smiled sweetly at me.
