Dear best friend, it used to be our desk boarders that separated us,

Now there are miles and miles of lands and sea boarders between us,

Dear best friend, I used to know everything you had eaten in detail,

Now I don't even know whether you've skipped a meal or stress ate,

Dear best friend, we used to study together with puffy eyes for our exams,

Now I don't even know whether you had studied at all for your exams,

Dear best friend, I miss reading books and exaggerating them to you,

Now I just read and miss you, then read more just to miss you more,

Dear best friend, the minute I bump in to someone cute you'll know in a few minutes or seconds even,

Now I have to wait for months to ring you up about all the cute guys I've met, some forgotten even,

Dear best friend, to whom will I whine when you're miles apart,

Now since you're far, it had made a jar out of my lonely heart,

Dear best friend, I couldn't even wait for a day to see your face and eyes dart,

Now I have to wait for a year at least, until flights do us apart,

Dear best friend, when will I ever get to crazily dance with you again,

Now I'm starting to forget the steps you've taught me in the rain,

Dear best friend, your face used to pop up first in my gallery and heart,

Now it's at the very bottom of the gallery but still reining my heart,

Dear best friend, funny how your favourite ice cream tastes better than mine,

Now I find myself humming your favourite songs trying to make them rhyme,

Dear best friend, if only time could be travelled,

Now I'd rather live our past again than my present ,

Dear best friend, we'll be sipping coffee in front of our favourite show dear,

Not now, but someday and maybe laugh slapping eachother till our eyes tear,

Dear best friend, till then let's hang in there wherever we are,

For now, let's just dream of that someday from the bottom of our hearts!

A/N : Okay everyone this is a frienships day special written with, four awesome people in mind, my two beautiful sisters and two amazing buddies. Cheesy I know.

Just as the title says, until flights do us apart we'll be together.

Literally teared up while coming up with the lines for this poem '_' Gosh I miss them.

And here's the worst part, one of my best friends will be leaving the next day after I'd arrive at my place. This kindda sucks. I haven't met her in a year. She has been my bestie for 15 years or maybe more. Like literally. I'm almost losing count.

Anyways. Hope you guys were reminded of your friend or best friend while you read this and maybe you missed them a little less thanks to this poem- sorry if I made your longing worse.
