"The Autobots fought to save us. Now we must fight to save them"
- Y/N

---

It was the beginning of the end.

After the battle of Chicago, Cemetery Wind was formed by Harold Attinger to supposedly hunt down the remaining Decepticons. Unknown to the United States government, they were actually hunting both Autobots and Decepticons alike and shipping their parts to a company by the name of KSI. With most of the Decepticons either dead or missing, they then turned their attention to the Autobots.

When N.E.S.T was decommissioned, you couldn't believe what the world had turned into. How could an entire species turn their backs on those that fought so hard to protect their freedom? The Autobots, as well as yourself, were now considered fugitives. You had no clue where Lennox was, which pissed you off since you fought alongside him when N.E.S.T was aiding the Autobots in battle. Optimus and whatever Autobots remained were scattered to the winds, going into hiding when Cemetery Wind began hunting them.

It was around this time that you decided to make yourself useful. Going by a different name than your own, you managed to slip into the ranks of Cemetery Wind and became what they called a 'hunter'. Your job was to go out into the field and hunt down whatever target was chosen for that day. You often worked with Lockdown, a Cybertronian bounty hunter that gave you the creeps every time you looked at him. The strike team you were a part of was led by James Savoy, a real bastard and asshole in your opinion. Both himself and Lockdown was responsible for many Autobots' deaths. What you planned to do while undercover was attempt to save any Autobot you could from being slaughtered so you could somehow free them in the near future.

Leadfoot was your first loss.

After his death, you vowed to try harder and make sure that no other Autobot faced the same fate as him. However, the pressure was on when you were forced to go on more missions. You didn't know how long it would take for Attinger to realize that you were a former N.E.S.T agent working against him, but you hoped you would have enough time to at least save one Autobot.

And when the next chosen target was Ratchet, you swore to yourself that he wouldn't die a horrible death.

"The target is holed up somewhere in this abandoned ship. Send in the drones."

You heard Savoy's voice cut through the eerily quiet atmosphere and gripped your weapon a little tighter. Part of you just wanted to bolt and leave everything behind, but the other part forced you to stay. You refused to leave Ratchet behind.

A low buzzing noise filled your ears and you looked up, spotting the blinking lights of the drones against the night sky. The noise they made while they flew reminded you of bees and it made your skin crawl just thinking about it. You watched as they advanced towards the abandoned ship, moving forwards on the ground once Savoy motioned your group to move. Your gut twisted at the thought of what was about to happen. And you were a part of it. You had to fire your weapon or else you would be considered suspicious. They checked every weapon after a mission to see if it had been fired or not.

You heard the radio chatter coming from the radio strapped to your belt, knowing that each team was moving into position to attack once the target was flushed out. Your heart pounded in your chest once your group moved into position and took cover. Every once and a while, you would catch a glimpse of a drone through a broken window on the ship. Ratchet would be discovered soon. You nervously chewed on the inside of your cheek as it grew quieter and quieter.
