Chapter 11

The Caller

On my daily basis here in school, hindi na nawawala ang mga taong palaging pumupuna sa akin. They all look like they want to approach me but just can't.

At mabuti iyon kung ganoon. Baka maging dahilan na naman ng commotion. Ayokong maging sakit sa ulo ni mama.

When I enter the classroom, as usual, the five girls are waiting for me. Pero ang madalas kung sumama sa akin ay si Lily at Aria.

Nasanay na ako sa kanila, because they would always approach me kapag papasok ako. And I let them.

Matapos ang birthday ni Ajic nang araw na yun, mas lalo lang nadedevelop ang pagtingin ko sa kanya. Yes, I am now accepting the fact na I am admiring him.

He didn't expect Karylle to be there. Dahil bago pa man ang kaarawan niya ay nagkalabuan na sila. He even saw him with another guy that's why mas lalo silang nagkalabuan. And now, he's opting for someone now.

Of course makikipaglokohan pa ba ako sa sarili ko? Base sa explanation niya, the moment he sang and he even said 'for a beautiful girl' and looked at me, alam kong ako yun.

I appear as assuming girl that time, but I am not. I am boldly saying this because of the fact that Ajic is always trying to reach me out. He's invitations are obvious.

Okay, I look boastful now, but that's how I see it. I also feel connected to him.

First class ended at PE na namin. We all went to the locker room para kunin ang mga PE uniform namin at magpalit. Mabilis kaming nagpalit ng damit since our PE teacher is as terror as hell.

Ngunit pagdating namin sa field, we already saw some of our classmates doing the push ups. Karamihan sakanila ay babae. Fudge.

"Madrigal, Gomez, Bartolome.. do the curl ups. Fifty times for being 5 minutes late!" He's really inconsiderate!

Dahil doon ay ginawa nga namin ang sinabi nito. Pawis na pawis ako at hirap na hirap. Fifty curl ups isn't a joke. Ang ilan sa mga kasabayan kong napunish ay halatang hirap na hirap.

"It's obvious on your work that you are not flexible enough," our teacher said.

Inabot kami ng kalahating oras nang matapos namin ang curl ups. Pawis na pawis akong tumayo. And that's when we started our activity.

He grouped us into five for our new activity. Hindi ko kasama ang lima sa group. Our teacher is instructing us when Azure came in the picture. Lahat ng kaklase kong babae ay napatingin dito at lumipat din ang tingin sa akin.

I saw Azure appealed to our teacher and talked about something we couldn't hear. Upon watching them talking, Azure suddenly looked at my direction and grinned.

Sinamaan ko ito ng tingin. Napansin kong ang lima ay nakatingin sa akin na kinikilig.

Azure is in a college uniform. Its badge is color blue and that says, he's in the business ad course. And as for us, being in 12th grade, our bagde is in maroon color.

He's two year older than I, yet napakakulit. And I know he will take that course too, dahil sa dami rin ng business nila and siya lang ang tagapagmana nito.
