A little yellow flower

They were waves, entangled in each other.

Falling from the top of her thoughts, cascading down her spine.

They danced with the winds and flew with the breeze.

Hypnotic.

A little flower sat between these vines.

Smiling shyly from behind this curtain, too scared to fly.

Yellow petals that sang in the sun.

Spirited.

But fall, it did. Like a feather would from a nest.

Down, down, down it went, still yellow, still smiling.

Down the waves, down the vines.

And fell upon that grey earth,

Behind her waves, behind her braid.

Peaceful.
