My Earth. My pulchritudinous and the most desirable planet. It destroys me to see each Earth day getting murkier. The view from my throne shows the undeniable truth, this planet was gradually disintegrating into an uninhabitable environment. Increasingly the magnificent green that enveloped my globe fell away as if a concealed drain had opened to release unrequited beauty. Severe steel grey, the dullest colour the human mind could imagine replaced the abundant greens, willow trees, orchids, sunflowers, anything pleasurable to the eye was torn away. It was as if those people desired to take residence in one of the old films, they used to view decades ago. Those creatures had unforgiving cruelty that I had never before witnessed in my boundless life. Their carelessness aggravates me, I had put so much effort into creating this universe for them and they treat it with irrelevance. Geometric series of concrete blocks filled my vision, resembling the creation of a beehive, little worker bees bustling over the surface of the Earth, removing the pollen and colour from every flower. Rumbles of dread enveloped the universe as decomposition accelerated at an increasing rate as my Earth made an endeavour to save herself.
Nowadays my Earth's trophies weigh her down; they used to be something she was proud of, as gold as a pharaohs coffin. The years had wearied the metal transforming it from gold to grey, from gold to lead. Her affectionate and protective arms strained as she struggled to hold the weight of humanity and I recognized that one day I would have to lighten her load. She was my finest creation; the humans were my second, and I am one who will confidently play favourites. Earth is beautiful, well...she was before I created those parasites that slowly infect her with disease. The shimmering blue silk that was seamlessly strewed across the globe and patchwork green hills that were every hue from spring grass to deep forest pools would be heavily missed. The blue swells that swayed across the sandy coastlines to smash against vertiginous cliffs. Those crystal oceans are now so polluted it was more of a colloid substance than liquid. My whitewash horses whinnied in pain as artificial material contaminated their racecourse. Fitfully they climb desperately onto land trying to escape their impending fate. They do not realise that even those animals on land are affected by the rapid deterioration of the planet. She was love, kindness and beauty swooped into a singular object. My transcendent creation was slowly being devastated. What was I to make of all of this?
I knew she was going to collapse into a deep cavern of misery if I did not do anything to help. Discharging the humans had become my only option of redemption. I prepared a large meteorite to inflict worldwide devastation to end the pandemic of humans that enveloped the Earth. A golden fire filled the whole frame accompanied by a continuous dull resonance as the mass moved through the empty expanse of space. Upon impact, a firework exhibition came to life as debris were propelled into space, unveiling every colour shown on the visible spectrum through ignited sediments. Herculean waves consequently attacked surrounding regions as the collision displaced the Earth and its silken waters. Concealed and immense forces held within volcanoes swamped the landmass, imprisoning dispensable passengers that needed to disembark. Any previous sound became easily forgotten as explosions and hissing replaced every recollection of the silence ensnared universe that I had become accustom to. Slowly my Earth became as barren as Mars, red rock extending over each side of the planet's curves. Although this new planet lacked biodiversity and beauty, it resembled a promising homeland that would soon become as magnificent as the planet existing before it. Odele, a prosperous world that would be wealthy in beauty and creatures, resembling a utopia where the absence of corruption was deafening.
After many millennia, my favourable planet began to rejuvenate, presenting a malleable sphere that resembled an abundance of clay being prepared to reassemble in a mosaic of homelands. There she was, perfect in the endless, unmoving blackness. A golden speck in an infinite vacuum. A sense of proud, maternal tenderness overwhelmed my being as I gave birth to a new civilization that surpassed the previously existing dystopia. Although the eradication of the human race was tyrannical, it becomes a justifiable cause when you watch the degradation of your dearest child. Anger consumes your body and rational decisions become a mist that dissipates when touched by midday sun. This rage infused decision provided no consequences as blissful chirps and the burbles of gentle waterfalls once again encircled Odele.
