"Can you give me a ride home?" I ran up to Bri in the student parking lot.

"Fine, but you have to somehow settle things with Adrian, he's getting pissed by the minute every time you dodge him." She sounded frustrated.

"I promise I will figure something out, but not right now." I ran my hand through my hair. I could feel eyes on me and I knew exactly who they belonged to you.

"You know he's staring at you right?" Bri sighed.

"Yeah..." I trailed off throwing my backpack on the passenger seat.

"I know that look, he's trying to figure out the right moment to talk to you." She giggled before pulling out of the student parking lot.

"Well, I hope it's not soon." I groaned slumping into my seat.

"I wouldn't be so sure." She smirked pulling in front of my house. "Am I picking you up tomorrow?"

"Most likely yes." I gave her an apologetic smile. She rolled her eyes playfully.

"Good luck, he's very persistent when something bothers him." She smirking.

"Thank god I covered my window with a blanket then." I winked before jumping out of the car.

"See you tomorrow!" She waved before driving off. I could see Adrian's car in the distance and I quickly ran inside locking the door. I walked into the kitchen seeing a note she had left on the fridge.

I made some potato soup in the crockpot. I found a job this morning and I won't be home till late.

Throwing away the sticky note, I sighed walking upstairs. I threw my backpack on the ground plopping onto my bed. I'm so tired, I could sleep for years and still be tired. I could feel the vibrations from my phone barely through the bed making me sigh. I honestly don't feel like talking to anyone; maybe I could ignore them?...

The buzzing stopped only to start up again. Propping my head up on my chin, I picked the phone up to see the caller ID.

Adrian... Should I talk to him? No... I don't know what to say, what would I say if he cornered me?

"I don't know what to do!" I yelled shoving my face back into the pillow. I just want everything to end!

"You could've at least answered the call, love." I jumped to my feet glaring at the intruder.

"How the fuck did you get into my house?" I asked harshly.

"I unlocked the front door, with only one lock you were practically asking me to walk in," Adrian smirked taking small steps towards me.

"You broke into my house... Are you serious?! This isn't your house Adrian, were you expecting an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top?!" I yelled angrily.

"Kinky..." He trailed chuckling. "I didn't think you were into that type of stuff."

"Get out!"

"Not until I talk to you!" His face was serious, nothing in his eyes told me he was joking. He was now only a few feet away from me.

"Stay right there..." I trailed off running my hands through my hair. I took a deep breath before sitting on my bed.

"Why have you been avoiding me?" His voice had an edge to it. It was like he doesn't even know why!

"What do you mean why?!" I looked up at him angrily. "You kissed me! You want me to be happy?! You want me to celebrate my first kiss taken from me without my consent?!"

"Your first kiss?" He whispered. He looked surprised.

"Asshole," I muttered before glaring down at my hands. It felt awkward... I didn't know how to talk to him about the kiss. I could feel his eyes on me, watching my reactions, my movement.

"Why don't we start over then?" I looked at him confused only to see him giving me a genuine smile.

"Start over?" I cocked my head to the side showing my confusion.

"I like you Sky, and if you don't want anything at the moment, then I'll wait till you say so." He held out his hand waiting for me to take it.

"You like me..." I mumbled trailing off.

"Yeah, I do." He chuckled. "And I'll wait till you want to give us a try." His eyes held sincerity, truth, passion. I was so convinced to take his hand and I did.

"O-okay." I gave him a shy smile taking his hand.

"Thank you, love." He looked relieved. I stood up releasing his hand.

"You want to stay for dinner? My mom is staying late." I walked past him opening the door.

"Sure, what are you making?" I heard his steps following right after me. If I turned around, I bet I would bump into his chest...

"I'm not sure." I sighed walking into the kitchen.

"Thinking about something for dinner?" I swung around seeing Bri sitting on the couch, Tristan right beside her.

"What the fuck are you two doing here?!" I practically yelled.

"You were practically asking for someone to sneak in for dinner leaving the door unlocked." Bri shrugged.

"She invited me, I didn't realize you already had company." He was glaring at Adrian.

"It seems you two have made up," Bri smirked wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"I promised him I would wait till he's ready," Adrian smirked.

"You're waiting?! That's a first!" Bri sounded surprised.

"Waiting for what?" Tristan said through his teeth.

"Wait to see if Sky wants to move into a serious relationship." It looked as if he was triumphantly trying to rub it in his face, but why? "It's been awkward since I kissed him so I came here to talk to him."

"I need a walk." Tristan shot from the couch slamming the front door behind him.
